Lindsie Chrisley Finally Speaks On Parents Todd and Julie’s Prison Sentences
Two weeks after Todd Chrisley and his wife Julie were sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison, Todd’s eldest daughter Lindsie Chrisley has spoken out publicly about the sentencing. Finally breaking her silence on the imprisonment of her father and stepmom in an exclusive statement to HollywoodLife, Lindsie shared that the lengthy sentences left her “heartbroken.”
The 33-year-old explained that her silence was for a reason, as she needed to “process everything before speaking and making any statements.” After sending out appreciation to fans who reached out to her regarding the issue, she explained that the past few months have been a difficult set of months for her and her family.
Addressing speculations regarding her long silence, she made it known that “there is no tea here.” She reassured fans that the narrative being pushed by the media is not a true reflection of her true feelings towards her parents’ sentencing. Instead, the silence was the best way she could navigate the hurt she felt.
“At the end of the day, this is a real family, and these are real and raw emotions,” Lindsie reminded fans.
In November 2021, 53-year-old Todd and 49-year-old Julie were handed down prison terms of 12 years and seven years, respectively, after a June conviction for federal crimes, including wire fraud, tax fraud, and tax evasion. This means that by the time they completely serve their time, Todd would be 65, and Julie would be 56. The couple, however, is not planning to serve out the lengthy terms as they reportedly plan to appeal their convictions. “Both Chrisleys are devastated and disappointed with the verdict and will be pursuing an appeal,” their lawyer said in a statement to People.
Lindsie has had falling outs with her famous family with whom she films Chrisley Knows Best. She appeared in five seasons of the E! reality series since its premiere on USA Network in 2014. However, she left the show due to family drama. After eloping with now ex-husband Will Campbell with whom she shares nine-year-old Jackson, she took a break from filming the reality TV series that follows the Southern family and went on her way to work on other projects, including a successful podcast Coffee Convos.
Lindsie has since reunited with her family, which also consisted of biological brother Kyle Chrisley, 31 and half-siblings Chase Chrisley, 26, Savannah Chrisley, 25, and Grayson Chrisley, 16.
