The Emmy Nominations Are in — Here Are the Shows Nominated for the Most
The nominations for the 2022 Emmy’s season have been released, and some shows conquered various sections. The following shows have all received at least 15 Emmy nominations each.
- Only Murders In The Building
Only Murders In The Building has received 17 Emmy nominations. Available to stream on both Hulu and Disney+, the show focuses on three neighbors who join together to discover who murdered another one of their neighbors. Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin star in this quirky comedy that is full of mystery and heartfelt friendship.
Both Steve Martin and Martin Short are up for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, and the show itself has received various other nominations in several sections.
- Hacks
Hacks is tied with Only Murders In The Building with 17 Emmy nominations. Hacks is also a comedy series, and follows a stand-up comedian who hires a writer to help her spice up her jokes and shows.
Jean Smart already has two Emmy awards under her belt, and she is nominated for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. Hannah Einbinder has been nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for the second time. The show itself has been nominated for several sections, including writing and directing.
- Ted Lasso
Ted Lasso is a comedy series, and it is tied with The White Lotus with 20 Emmy nominations. The show focuses on an American football coach who gets hired to coach a British football team. Jason Sudeikis has been nominated for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, and the show itself is up for Best Comedy Series and many others that involve writing, directing, and supporting actors.
- The White Lotus
The White Lotus has received 20 Emmy nominations. The show centers around a Hawaiian resort and the interactions between the guests that are staying there. This limited series has been nominated for Best Limited Series, and almost every member in the cast has received an Emmy nomination.
- Succession
Succession lept ahead with a total of 25 Emmy nominations. The drama follows a family that runs a company together, each family member fighting to gain power over the others as they constantly and secretly battle to take the upper-hand.
Succession is up for Outstanding Drama Series and has been nominated for several sections covering writing and direction. Almost every main actor and actress has received a nomination for their talents and efforts, as the cast heavily dominated it’s eligible categories.
