Sylvester Stallone And His Wife Call It Quits! Jennifer Flavin Files For Divorce!
It looks like there was truth to the speculations about a rocky relationship when Sylvester Stallone had his tattoo portrait of his wife covered up with an image of his Rocky dog co-star, Butkus.
Jennifer Flavin has filed for divorce after 25 years with Stallone. The model, 54, accused the Rambo movie star, 76, of hiding their “marital assets” from her.
Flavin claimed that her soon-to-be ex-husband “engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion, and/or waste of marital assets, which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estate. Moreover, [Stallone] should be enjoined from, selling, transferring, assigning, encumbering, or dissipating any assets during the pendency of proceedings.”
The couple with a 22-year difference first met in the 1980s in a not-so-solid beginning. After several months of dating, things took a shocking turn in 1994 when Stallone abruptly dumped Flavin through a letter that he mailed to her through FedEx.
In the sloppy letter, the actor revealed that he had cheated on her with Janice Dickinson, and it was also this time when model Dickinson insisted that Stallone was her child’s father.
But all was forgiven, and Stallone returned to Flavin, and their love story ended happily ever after—or so it seems until now.
With the divorce underway, Flavin is now seeking to restore and go back to using her maiden name and drop Stallone’s last name, which she adopted after her marriage in 1996.
Stallone and Flavin have three daughters, Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlett, who have all gone on to be successful in their careers as actresses and models.
It was recently when rumors about the relationship being rocky when Flavin, co-owner of the beauty company Serious Skin Care, posted a photo of her and her daughters hugging on Instagram with the caption, “These girls are my priority. Nothing else matters. The 4 of us forever.”
Even Flavin’s brother, Mitchel Flavin, 63, was shocked by the news of the split and that his sister filed for marriage dissolution in Palm Beach County.
Mitchel is based in Minnesota and mentioned that the couple appeared to be happy and in marital bliss with no hints of tensions whatsoever when he last saw them in February during the funeral of his and Jennifer’s mother, Shirley.
He shared, “Last time I saw them was in February. I didn’t see anything happening or going on. So this is news to me. When I’m with them, I don’t really pry into their private life too much. But things seemed fine.”
Stallone has not released a statement yet. But it is noted that Flavin has stopped following Stallone on social media.
