Sharon Stone Refused to Get Botox — Got Dumped By Younger Boyfriend
In a conversation with Vogue Arabia, Hollywood star Sharon Stone revealed that she was dumped by a younger man she was dating. The reason? Botox. Or rather, not wanting to get botox.
The Basic Instinct actress shared that her previous flame dumped her after she refused to have botox. But, Stone is not entirely against these cosmetic procedures. While doing the cover shoot, Stone said that she had undergone the procedure in the past, but she has graduated from cosmetic enhancements primarily due to her near-fatal stroke in 2001.
Her new stance about botox has led to her relationship coming to a halt. The actress revealed that when her former flame asked if she’d ever go for another botox, the 64-year-old celebrity quipped, “It would probably be good for your ego and mine if I did.”
Shortly after, their relationship came to an end.
Stone did see this former boyfriend one more time — the last time — after the botox conversation. But, it was evident that he was no longer interested in further pursuing their relationship. Obviously, the botox issue caused the man to exit and move on.
“If you don’t see me for more than that, you’ll please find your way to the exit,” said Stone.
Trying to explain her stance about cosmetic enhancements, Sharon said that after her aneurism that nearly ended her life in 2001, she decided that botox, specifically, is no longer for her. The surgery that the actress underwent was seven hours long and involved a gruesome recovery process.
“There were periods in the super fame when I got Botox and filler and stuff, and then I had this massive stroke and a nine-day brain hemorrhage, and I had to have over 300 shots of Botox and filler to make the one side of my face come up again.”
Her life-changing experience influenced her perception of cosmetic surgery. For her, these enhancements are “cute luxuries that eventually turn into a painful and massive neurological need.”
There’s probably also some truth to her statement that women tend to become invisible after 45, especially in a world ruled by sexism and ageism.
“I think I can probably speak for you and the rest of the female planet when I say that there’s a giant effort to make us not feel free and to feel oppressed,” said Stone. “And I don’t go for it. I feel like this is the most exciting and creative period of my life. I feel really, really happy. I’ve never been this joyful.”
Sharon did not reveal the identity of the man who dumped her. What the public knows as her last relationship was with 26-year-old rapper RMR. Reports had been circulating since June about Stone and RMR dating.
RMR once described the actress as cool and has the utmost respect for the former model who had her Hollywood breakthrough during the ’90s. But, Sharon and RMR have remained pretty quiet about their relationship. Up until now, it is unknown if the pair is still in a relationship or not.
Owning her age and her wrinkles, Stone recently shared a topless bikini photo on Instagram captioned, “Gratefully Imperfect on a Perfect Day.”
