Pitch Perfect Star Brittany Snow And “Selling The OC” Star Tyler Stanaland Split Up
“Pitch Perfect” star Brittany Snow and “Selling the OC” star Tyler Stanaland are splitting up.
The pair began dating in 2018 and had one of those private relationships that have everyone on their toes. Luckily, the Pitch Perfect star came through for us with the details.
In 2020, she told People that the duo had some common friends and that the real estate silver spooner texted her on Instagram “with a really lame pickup line”. Yo Gotti was right. It does go down in the DMs.
Tyler apparently used to watch Pitch Perfect with friends and say, ‘I’m going to win over Brittany Snow… one day.” But he never dreamed it would happen.
Call it manifestation or pure luck, but it did happen. The pair fell in love over tacos and tequila and tied the knot in March 2020.
The perfect fairy tale story, right? Well, it was, up until the pair announced that they were separating after merely 3 years of marriage.
They posted identical statements on their Individual Instagram accounts on September 14. Brittany penned: “After time and consideration, Tyler and I have made the difficult decision to separate. This decision was made with love and mutual respect for one another. We have realized we need to take some time and make sure we are each living our most fulfilling and authentic lives.”
The duo went on to say, “We started this journey as best friends, and our relationship will continue to be a priority not only for us but for our dog Charlie. We sincerely appreciate your support and ask for privacy as we navigate this new chapter”.
Fans of both stars were quick to extend their love and support at this challenging time, but everyone was wondering what led to this moment.
It appears that the actor’s reality TV debut “Selling The OC,” a spin-off of Selling Sunset, might be to blame. It saw the realtor embroiled in plenty, and we mean PLENTY, of relationship drama.
So, what’s the tea? The cast talked about one instance when Kayla Cardona attempted to kiss Stanaland off-camera while having drinks with coworkers. The moment was captured on camera and included in the show.
On August 23, the actor talked about the incident on “Reality Life with Kate Casey,” a podcast.
He said, “One night, Kayla did try and kiss me. And then it happened another night as well. And so on the show, out of respect for her, I am just kind of trying to minimize it and brush past it so that there isn’t drama. We can all focus on what we should be doing.”
The actor went on to say, “But that was something where I had to kind of set some hard lines and some boundaries and reconsider the social environment a bit. Nothing happened. It was just … something that, you know, you don’t do to somebody who is married.”
Word. According to what a source reportedly told People, Tyler’s involvement in the show and the drama it brought with it was the “final straw’ for Brittany and Tyler’s relationship. The source went on to say, “Brittany never wanted Tyler on the show but he was adamant. He wanted to make a name for himself on his own terms.”
