Relationship No Longer On The Rocks As Sylvester Stallone And Wife Jennifer Flavin Reconcile
All’s well that ends well! Sylvester Stallone and his estranged wife, Jennifer Flavin, are back together, calling off their divorce. This is happy news indeed, especially for the family and friends of the couple.
The Rocky movie star and his wife decided to meet up at home and talk. This was another testament to what communication can do in any relationship. They found that they could work out their differences and remain happy. Together, they could save and further work on their 25 years of marriage.
This happy turn of events comes after 54-year-old Jennifer filed for divorce from her 76-year-old husband. A few days before the couple had their talk, a court filing at a Palm Beach County, Florida court shared that the warring couple both agreed “that it is in the best interests of each of them individually and more importantly collectively as a family, to resolve all issues attendant to the dissolution of their marriage in a dignified, amicable and private manner out-of-court.”
This led fans to hope that the couple had already reconciled earlier this week after Sylvester shared two throwback photos of him and his wife holding hands on his social media. The actor also left a one-word optimistic caption of “Wonderful.”
Aside from the image of the two holding hands, the Philadelphia native also shared another throwback picture but, this time, an old family picture with their three daughters. This served as a reminder of their past since the three girls were likely still in grade school then.
The couple share three daughters, Sophia, 26, Sistine, 24, and Scarlet, 20. Sylvester also shares a son with ex-Sasha Crack named Seargeoh, 43. Unknown to many, Sylvester also had a second son with Sasha, but the 36-year-old Sage died in 2012.
Recall that last August 19, Jennifer filed for divorce, alleging that Sylvester “engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets, which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estates.” The actor denied all these allegations.
After filing for the divorce, Jennifer told People how she was sad to announce that after 25 years of marriage, she had filed for divorce from her husband. She assured, though, that despite no longer being married, she would always cherish their relationship of more than 30 years and that both of them were committed to caring for their three daughters. She also asked for privacy as their family aimed to move forward from these changes in dynamics.
Sylvester also made his statement about what was happening, although his was short. He stated he loved his family and that they were privately and amicably working through their issues.
Their daughters—all successful in their chosen industries—have not issued a statement about their parent’s marital issues so far.
Before Jennifer filed for divorce, Sylvester had his giant tattoo of his wife replaced with that of his bull mastiff, Butkus. People were quick to put the pieces together, claiming that it was their Rottweiler Dwight that triggered the breakup.
Everyone knows how Sylvester dotes on Dwight, and he also wants a family dog that can protect his family in Palm Beach, Florida, and Los Angeles. Jennifer, at that time, was not a huge fan of another Rottweiler and objected to the idea. This had caused other issues in their relationship to surface.
With all said and done, it’s great that the two have reconciled.
