Olivia Wilde Denies Allegations that She Left Ex-Fiance for Harry Styles
Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde have been together since 2011, getting engaged in 2013. Now, Wilde is best known for her relationship with pop star Harry Styles.
After seven years of being engaged and having two children, Otis (age 8), and Daisy (age 5), the celebrity couple broke up in November 2020 and never ended up getting married. Just a couple months later, in January of 2021, Wilde was linked romantically to Harry Styles.
The two met in September of 2020, when Wilde cast Styles in her movie Don’t Worry Darling, mere weeks before the Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis relationship ended. Now, there is new information from a former nanny alleging that Styles was the reason they broke up.
The nanny remains anonymous but is said to have worked for the couple for several years. This nanny offered text messages between the couple and herself, in addition to details about what it was like caring for the celebrity’s children.
Wilde didn’t end her relationship with Jason Sudeikis until November 8, which was around two months after she met Harry Styles. The nanny claimed multiple times that Wilde was pursuing Styles while she was still together with Sudeikis.
“On the Monday morning of November 9, when I came back from a weekend off, Sudeikis was crying a lot, crying and crying. I didn’t know what had happened at all,” said the former nanny, “After I’d got the kids ready, Jason came upstairs and was having some coffee. He was crying and a mess, saying, ‘She left us. She left us!’”
Allegedly, the actor had found texts on Wilde’s Apple Watch that revealed her relationship to Styles. In addition to this, the nanny also said that Sudeikis saw her making some salad for Styles and intentionally went to lay in front of her car so that she would be late to seeing him. “It was back and forth. He said he was doing it on purpose to make her late going to see Harry,” the nanny also claimed.
Very soon after the interview with their ex-nanny went public, Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis made a statement to People. “As parents, it is incredibly upsetting to learn that a former nanny of our two young children would choose to make such false and scurrilous accusations about us publicly,” said the former couple. “Her now 18-month long campaign of harassing us, as well as loved ones, close friends, and colleagues, has reached its unfortunate apex.”
They concluded that they will be continuing to focus on raising and protecting their children, while hoping that the former nanny will choose to leave their family alone.
