Tom Brady And Gisele Bündchen’s Prenup Made Their Division Of Assets Way Simpler
The division of assets is one of the contributing factors to why most marriages end up uglier and more complicated than usual. The most common questions, like who gets which property and who gets to have the family business, can make estranged couples more frustrated and angrier.
This is not the case with the divorce of NFL superstar Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bündchen. Sources reveal that before getting married, both had signed an iron-clad prenuptial agreement. This arrangement can fast-track their divorce with lesser complications, much to the relief of both parties.
Earlier this year, the super couple confirmed that their marriage of thirteen years is over and that they are now going through the divorce process.
The two stars have amassed several properties and assets during their marriage. Together, they have an estimated net worth of $744 million, including their $26 million properties and several businesses.
The two reportedly created an unyielding prenuptial arrangement in 2009, so both parties could protect their individual wealth and resources. Before getting married, both had successful careers and fortunes, with Tom Brady reportedly worth about $333 million and Gisele, a whopping $400 million.
The separation of their wealth is a done, easy deal, and what’s left is the division of their property portfolio. Reports revealed that Tom would get full ownership of their Billionaire Bunker home on Indian Creek Island in Miami. Tom and Gisele purchased the $17-million mansion back in 2020, and the construction of the once-waterfront property is still underway.
On the other hand, Gisele, the world’s highest-paid supermodel during her time, will be keeping their Nicoya Peninsula vacation home in Costa Rica.
Aside from these two properties, the former couple owns a house in the Bahamas, another home at Yellowstone Club, Montana, and an apartment in New York City.
The model also quietly bought a modest Miami Beach house worth $1.25 million earlier this February and another larger property in Miami.
One source revealed that the couple had settled the division of their properties even before Gisele officially filed for divorce last October 28. The separation was finalized in a matter of hours, and both successful individuals are now considered legally single.
Both will share custody of their two kids, 12-year-old Benjamin and 9-year-old Vivian.
The quick settlement was a surprise because news surfaced that the quarterback was attempting to fix the marriage with his wife. Unfortunately, this move came a little too late because the divorce petition was already filed by then.
Gisele appears to be doing well after announcing the separation. She wanted to be heard, and since Tom was not listening to her then, this time, he finally had to. Too bad that it took a divorce for the two to get what they each wanted.
As the superstar athlete was following his passion and being one of the most celebrated quarterbacks of his sport, the Brazilian Gisele was left to raise their children.
A fellow sportsperson attested that Tom, like all other NFL players, focused on the game and nothing else during the season. And more than anybody, Tom has been dedicated to the sport.
However, another source mentioned that despite being focused on the game, he still had time for his children and family.
With the divorce behind her, Gisele is keen on continuing her career while being a dedicated mother, and she can certainly do that, given the support that she has been receiving.
