Rebel Wilson Denies Rumors of Engagement to Girlfriend Ramona Agruma

Rebel Wilson recently took to Instagram to debunk ongoing rumors of her engagement to her girlfriend of seven months, Ramona Arguma. 

The rumors began circulating after Rebel and Ramona attended George Clooney’s star-studded Casamigos Halloween party on October 28, wearing Barbie-inspired costumes and were seen wearing diamond rings. Page Six had previously reported that an insider had spotted the two discussing their engagement.

“Thanks for the well wishes but we are NOT engaged,” wrote the Pitch Perfect star on her Instagram story. 

Wilson made her relationship with Ramona public in early June this year through a photo of the happy couple paired with an adorable note: “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess.”

The news came as a surprise after Wilson split from her ex-beau Jacob Busch in 2021. Rebel began going out with the Anheuser-Busch brewing company heir shortly before the global pandemic hit. They even made their debut as a couple in Monaco. Unfortunately, by February, the relationship had fizzled out, and the couple called it quits.

The distance between Rebel and Jacob was also seen as one of the elements that might have caused the separation, given that Rebel was based in LA and Jacob in Palm Springs.

Many were supportive and happy for the 42-year-old Australian actress once she came out. Sources close to her confirmed that Rebel has never been more content, and being true to herself has led her to be in an amazingly happy place. 

Following their Instagram debut as a couple, Wilson was showered with good wishes. Pitch Perfect star Anna Kendrick commented, “Love you both like crazy.” 

In a May 2022 interview with People, Wilson shared that she was set up with Ramona through a friend. 

“We spoke on the phone for weeks before meeting. And that was a really good way to get to know each other. It was a bit old-school in that sense — very romantic.”

Wilson further added, “I think going through the process of finding more self-worth, I think that what you want in a partner is elevated and so it’s great to have someone who feels like an equal partner and be in a healthy relationship.”

Speaking of her previous relationships, Wilson shared that she might’ve put up with certain things she should not have. “So it feels different to be in a really healthy relationship,” she said. 

Ramona is the founder of the sustainable fashion brand Lemon Ve Limon as well as the jewelry company DeLys. 

Ever since news of their relationship broke out, Wilson has shared that she felt the happiest with everything — from her body to her relationship and even the way her career was growing. 

Furthermore, the actress revealed during one of her Instagram Live Sessions last year that one of the main reasons she was focused on a healthier lifestyle and her body was due to plans of motherhood.
