Never Too Late For Shania Twain As The Singer Goes Mud Nude On Her Latest Album
Shania Twain has always been one of the pretty faces with impressive musical talent. The 57-year-old Canadian singer deservedly holds the title of Queen of Country Pop.
And fans would love her more with her latest album, Queen of Me, which is all about Shania and her being the boss of herself. And the album cover shows who the boss is. Shania did a nude photoshoot for the cover with her just covered in mud.
When asked why she decided to make the bold move now, the singer revealed that she had her share of insecurities when she was younger. She was one of the girls uncomfortable wearing a bikini when going to the beach.
But being the older and more mature Shania, she wants to send the message of her being comfortable and more confident in her skin. She also further shared that her album, Queen of Me, is again her story, and everything she puts out and shares with everyone tells a story about herself and her truth.
Shania honestly revealed regret because she wished her younger self was more unapologetic and less afraid of others’ criticism and feedback. The singer and songwriter would have wanted her younger self to embrace her character and be happy with herself.
As one of the best-selling female artists in country music, Shania found it rather comical that she could find the courage to do this now. She noted that it would have been more appropriate back then because her body was also younger, but she was keen on doing the photo shoot, and it took plenty of her to be there and have her photos taken.
Shania even wanted to make it clear that she is not an exhibitionist, and the photoshoot was about her shedding that layer of insecurity that has been clothing her for so long. She even encouraged others with such insecurities to overcome theirs.
With a more empowered mindset, Shania also revealed that she has taken a new mantra: “Let it shine.” The Man! I Feel Like A Woman hitmaker shared that saying this credo at the start of the day provides that self-confidence and self-love she needs and that she is comfortable with her aging self and everything that comes with it.
Queen of Me is a significant milestone for the singer who had to undergo open-throat surgery due to Lyme disease. This is her first album after that health scare and is a memorable one, too, because she was told that she may never be able to sing again after the operation.
In preparation for this album, which is scheduled to be released in February 2023, Shania admitted adjusting her songs’ musical notations and lyrics to accommodate her voice after the surgery. But later on, she overcame that fear, continued pushing her musical abilities, and committed fully to her music.
