Diva Adele Refuses The Caesars Palace Suite And Instead Opts For The Rival Wynn Hotel
Adele’s residency in the City of Sin began Friday night, and her initial performances were impeccable. But with the success comes some behind-the-scenes drama, with one where the singer turned down the luxury suite of Caesars Palace.
As part of her $1 million-a-night deal, she was to be accommodated at Caesars Palace. Caesars Palace offered the iconic singer the Palazzo Suites at Rio Casino.
The suite, which is considered luxury accommodation, includes a butler. The plan was for Adele to spend the weekends here with her son Angelo and her boyfriend, Rich Paul.
Adele’s residency will go on until March 2023. The plans are ironed, and all is set to go. Unfortunately, reports recently revealed that the singer, worth a whopping $192 million, opted to live in a bungalow set on a golf course.
If this is not surprising, the singer’s preferred lodging is located just down the road from Caesars and is within the Wynn resort, a primary rival of Caesars.
The Fairway Villa has two bedrooms, believed to cost $3,883 a night. The 3,224 square feet room comes with an 80-inch television, two marble bathrooms, a dining area with a bar, and daily housekeeping that comes in twice a day.
It is speculated that the singer’s preference is primarily due to a need for more privacy since the property has its own private drive. Last Saturday, a convoy of cars was seen heading to Wynn from Caesars Palace.
One local source mentioned that Adele’s decision is causing quite a stir among the locals, and the reason why the singer opted not to stay at Caesars has drawn a lot of attention.
Sure, Las Vegas has its share of divas. The business in the city is used to handling divas and clients with highly impossible demands, but Adele is putting Caesars in an awkward spot. Adele might be thinking about her comfort and convenience, but she did not in any way show consideration for Caesars.
Apparently, Adele threw a “hissy fit” at the offered accommodations. Sources say that the Easy on Me singer had expected to stay at the Augustus Tower.
For the last two weeks, Adele has been in Vegas and having her technical rehearsals for Weekends With Adele. This musical residency has taken a long time to plan, with plenty of adjustments and delays.
It was canceled one day before the show was set to begin last Saturday, primarily due to COVID impacting the preparations for the performance.
Last Thursday, Adele shared her mixed emotions about the upcoming show on her Instagram. She mentioned how emotional, nervous and excited she was to her millions of followers. She added that although she is away from home, she can’t help but recall how she saw Tom Jones when she was a child in Mars Attack and couldn’t figure out how he got to Las Vegas from Wales.
And then, on Friday, Adele mentioned that the show was almost not about to happen and that she was extremely close to pulling out because she was sick the entire week. Sources close to Adele mentioned how bad her stage fright can be and that there are instances where the singer isn’t particular about what she wants or achieves, causing delays with the opening night.
Still, Adele never lets that keep her down for too long—she has recently added two New Year’s Eve shows to the residency.
