Selena Gomez And The Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart Fuel Romance Rumors After Being Spotted On A Flirty Date
Spotted at a New York City bowling alley on Sunday were musicians Selena Gomez and Drew Taggart.
The Wolves singer and one-half of The Chainsmokers band were seen together at New York City’s The Gutter. According to information obtained by People, both artists were dressed in casual outfits and were amongst “a group.” Photos show Selena holding an orange bowling ball while Drew stood nearby.
Following their low-key hangout on Sunday, Us Weekly reported that the pair are developing a “very casual and low-key” relationship and aren’t “trying to hide their romance by sneaking around at members-only clubs.” A source from the publication stated that both musicians spend time bowling and at the movies as they enjoy their time together.
This is the first time dating rumors would surround Selena since her split with The Weekend after a ten-month dating period. The split, however, inspired The Weekend’s EP, My Dear Melancholy, and possibly Save Your Tears from his 2020 album, which featured a woman that looked a lot like Selena.
Speaking on Jay Shetty’s podcast in November 2022, The Heart Wants What It Wants singer said she still had “hope” of finding her true love. “I feel like giving myself completely to something is the best way I can love,” she said.
“But I never wanted the pain that I endured to put some sort of guard on myself—an armor if you will—and I never let that happen because I still believe and I still hope,” the former Disney star added.
Us Weekly also noted that Drew was previously romantically involved with Steve Jobs’s youngest, Eve Jobs, in September 2022. Before that, he had been in a one-year relationship with 30-year-old model and DJ Chantel Jeffries, which ended “amicably” in April 2021.
In the past, Drew was also linked to model Meredith Mickelson and the influencer Haley Rowe.
In her Documentary, My Mind & Me, which aired on November 4, 2022, Selena got candid about her love life.
“I felt haunted by a past relationship that no one wanted to let go of…but then I just moved past it. I wasn’t afraid anymore. I feel like I had to go through the worst possible heartbreak ever. I just think that needed to happen, and ultimately, it was the best thing that ever happened to me,” Selena said.
The relationship referenced in the documentary is believed to be one she had with Canadian-born singer, Justin Bieber, which lasted over eight years.
