Katie Holmes’ Ex, Chef Emilio Vitolo, Is Expecting First Child With Girlfriend
Chef Emilio Vitolo, ex of actress Katie Holmes, is expecting a baby with his girlfriend, Sammy Piccininni.
The 33-year-old chef and actor, who once dated Katie Holmes before their split in May 2021, made an announcement with his new girlfriend on Instagram to reveal that they are expecting a baby. The couple shared pictures from their baby shower-gender reveal party while they held the ultrasound photos and posed together.
“Half of me & half of you, we’re having a baby girl,” the caption read.
The couple reshared some of the pictures and videos from their private party. In one video, guests watched the couple cut their gender-reveal cake, discovering pink filling, indicating they are having a baby girl.
Many people congratulated the couple, who celebrated their huge news with a big private party. Actor Fabrizio Brienza congratulated them with applause emojis. DJ Deleasa and chef Sarah Arcuri, among others, congratulated them.
In August 2022, the NYC chef and his 24-year-old girlfriend made their relationship official on Instagram. Sammy shared pictures of herself and Emilio hanging out in the Hamptons.
He dated actress Katie Holmes for eight months before the pair split in May 2021. A source shared with People then saying: “There was no drama. It was amazing while it lasted, but they are at very different places in life. Emilio has no hard feelings. His life is in N.Y.C. Katie can’t wait to get back to work and to travel again.”
Although Katie didn’t publicly speak about it, a rep for the 44-year-old actress told Us Weekly that while they’ve broken up, they “remain friends.” When their relationship started, an insider told Us Weekly that Katie felt “so blessed to be with a centered, down-to-earth, kindhearted companion who isn’t affected by the fame and puts happiness and traditional values first.”
Like Emilio, the Dawson’s Creek actress has since moved on and has been dating the Grammy-nominee composer and producer Bobby Wooten III. The pair was spotted at a Montauk, New York, wedding in June 2022. An eyewitness told Us Weekly, “Katie spent time with Bobby’s family, who really liked her. Katie was very unassuming and kind to everyone.”
The Coda actress was married to actor Tom Cruise for six years before they split in 2012. Later, she stayed involved with actor Jamie Foxx from 2013 to 2019 before moving on to her eight-month relationship with Emilio.
