Britney Spears Addresses Alyssa Milano’s Old Tweet About Her Well-Being, Calls It “Bullying”
Britney Spears believes Alyssa Milano’s December tweet concerning her well-being was sarcastic and a “form of bullying.”
In December, actress Alyssa Milano made a tweet regarding Britney and asked that people should check in on the Grammy-winning singer. Britney’s attention appears to be drawn to the post, and on her Instagram story, the singer addresses the tweet.
The Born to Make You Happy singer wrote below the tweet: “It saddens me to see things about me from people who don’t know me!!! This definitely feels like a form of bullying!!! Ladies, we are supposed to be rooting for one another, not pulling one another down!!!”
Since making the post, Alyssa has yet to drop a response. However, Britney’s comment is coming after concerned fans contacted the police to perform a routine welfare check on the singer following the shutdown of her Instagram page after a post on January 21.
By Monday, the Hold Me Closer singer was back on Instagram fully as she shared a couple of videos on her Instagram page on Tuesday. Speaking on Sunday concerning the recent police welfare check, Britney wrote: “I’m not having a breakdown…I am who I am and moving forward in my life, I have never felt better!!! Yes I took my Instagram down and now it’s backup because I can!!!”
Speaking to Dailymail, a source told the outlet that “the fans calling the cops freaked her out for sure, but she’s staying positive.”
In a tweet a few days ago, after the police visited her home, Britney wrote: “As everyone knows, the police were called to my home based on some prank phone calls. I love and adore my fans this time, things went a little too far, and my privacy was invaded. The police entered my home, and when they came to my gate, they quickly realized there was no issue and left immediately.”
Britney continues speaking on the issue: “This felt like I was being gaslit and bullied once the incident made it to the news and being portrayed once again in a poor and unfair light by the media.”
“During this time in my life, I truly hope the public and my fans who I care so much about can respect my privacy moving forward. All the love, B.”
Britney has previously spoken about navigating her freedom after 15 years of conservatorship presided over by her father that ended in 2021. She stated that at 41, she’s “still learning this no-rules thing.”
