Zendaya Is The Best Dressed Star At The 2023 SAG Awards
When it comes to red carpet looks, Zendaya never disappoints. And her look for the 29th Screen Actors Guild Awards was no different.
Oozing vintage from head to toe, Zendaya brought back old Hollywood glam vibes. She wore a floor-length strapless Valentino trumpet gown in soft pink. The corseted bodice was simple yet gorgeous and had a dramatic, show-stopping train.
Both the skirt and train had life-sized rosettes in the same blush-pink hue as the dress. The dress was stunning from every angle and a treat to look at.
She amplified the glamor with rosy cheeks and eyes that brought out the color of the gown. For an added touch of flair, the actress used bold eyelashes on both the top and bottom. For her hair, Zendaya chose a curly bob, which was completely in sync with her vintage look.
The actress completed her look with a dazzling jeweled choker. The diamond choker from Bulgari had purple, orange, and green gems and was paired with sparkling stud earrings. She also donned a diamond cuff bracelet, again from Bulgari.
Along with performing the job of slaying on the red carpet, the actress also had the duty of being a nominee and presenter.
Zendaya was nominated for “Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor” for her role in the drama series Euphoria. Competing with her for the award were Laura Linney, Elizabeth Debicki, Jennifer Coolidge, and Julia Garner.
The actress has already won a Golden Globe and two Emmy Awards for the same role in different nominations. Her Emmy win was historic, as she became the youngest actor to win the Emmys two times and also the first black woman to win in the category twice.
During her acceptance speech for the Emmys, Zendaya thanked the cast and crew for creating a safe space for such a difficult show.
If Zendaya had won the award, she would have become the youngest winner in the category; however, she did win hearts and made it to every list of best-dressed celebs at the 2023 SAG awards.
Zendaya changed into a different gown to present an award alongside Paul Mescal. This was yet another show-stopping gown from the style icon.
Her new strapless gown had a cutout, a color-block geometric bodice, and pale blue and pink diagonal sections.
For her jewelry, Zendaya kept it simple. She wore another dazzling crystal choker by Bulgari, this time with an oval aquamarine jewel in the center.
When talking to Entertainment Weekly about her character as Rue Bennet in Euphoria, Zendaya said, “My biggest hope is that people are able to connect to it and those who need to heal and grow with Rue hopefully, by the end of this season, feel that hope and feel that change in her.”
If anything, Zendaya brings to mind drag queen Aia’s iconic words. “She’s perfect, she’s beautiful, she looks like Linda Evangelista, she’s a model.”
