Justin Bieber Makes Surprise First-Time Stage Appearance At Don Toliver’s Set Since Canceling The Justice World Tour
On Saturday, March 4, Justin Bieber appeared surprisingly at Rolling Loud set to perform a song he made in collaboration with rapper Don Toliver. Thousands of fans were surprised when they spotted the singer on stage.
The last time the 29-year-old made a festival appearance was in September after he had recovered from Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which the Sorry hitmaker notes partially paralyzed a part of his face. The California festival set appearance only days after CNN confirmed he had canceled his Justice World Tour.
Joining his collaborator at the event, the Sorry hitmaker took the stage to perform Private Landing, a song he collaborated on with the rapper, included in Toliver’s recent album Love Sick. Although the singer performed only one song, he and Toliver have worked on other songs like Don’t Go and Honest.
Justin’s stage appearance at the California festival set marks his first-ever festival performance since he ended his last full set in September 2022 in Rio. However, he has made other brief appearances on stage, like performing at a celebration of life event for later rapper Takeoff and an acoustic performance of Stay with the Australian rapper and his friend The Kid LAROI.
In June 2022, the two-time Grammy-winning artist revealed that he’s been battling Ramsay Hunt syndrome. Ramsay Hunt is a disease that causes hearing loss, which requires immediate treatment to avoid its permanence. The sickness caused the singer to retreat from his tour to focus on healing.
After returning in July to briefly perform at seven more festivals, he announced in September that he was canceling the rest of the tour to take care of himself. Writing to his fans, the singer reveals that the sickness took a toll on him, explaining that he gave everything he had while performing in Rio, but the exhaustion overtook him and affected his health. He ended the message posted on his Instagram story by saying he’ll take “a break from touring for the time being.”
On March 1, the singer celebrated his 29th birthday. His wife Hailey Bieber celebrated him in a series of photos (including his baby picture), saying, “29 never looked so good.”
To mark his birthday, he threw a birthday party with his closest friends on Wednesday, with Billie Eilish and a few others being present.
Although Selena Gomez wasn’t present, her presence was felt following a party pack Justin handed out to his guest that had “I’m so thankful that I didn’t end up with what I thought I wanted” written on it. Many fans have since reacted, stating that he’s making a dig at the rumored reignited feud between his wife and ex, Selena Gomez.
