Courteney Cox Admits That Getting Too Many Fillers In The Past Made Her Look A Little Off
Not everyone will admit that they made terrible decisions. But Courteney Cox is not one to shy away from such admissions. She recently shared that there was a point in her life when she no longer recognized herself, and that’s because she had gone too far with all the fillers in an attempt to turn back time and look young again.
The Friends alum shared the vicious cycle she went through to maintain her youthful look in an appearance on Gloss Angeles. She admitted that she felt a pang of regret over subjecting her body to those numerous procedures.
The 58-year-old actress had believed she was fine and that nothing had gone wrong after the procedures. She got what she wanted, but the aftermath wasn’t evident until later, and she looked off and much worse years after getting the fillers.
Courteney began, “Thinking I was getting older when I was young—that’s just a bummer, a waste of time; it’s a domino effect, it’s like you don’t realize that you look a little off, so then you keep doing more because you look normal to yourself and you look in the mirror and go, ‘Oh, that looks good.'”
She further shared, “You don’t realize what it looks like to the outside person and just doing too many fillers and then having to have them removed, which thank god they are removable, but I think I messed up a lot and now luckily I can, I was able to reverse most of that, and now I’m just older.”
Courteney is still in disbelief when she sees her old photos, especially those of her filler era. She also admitted that her efforts to keep her youthful appearance didn’t go as planned. Being honest about it, Courteney mentioned that her youthful plan backfired.
Last year, Courteney revealed that she tried to outsmart aging by undergoing various injections and several other treatments. She admitted that she went overboard and is now trying to accept that aging is part of life and that it is inevitable. Right now, the actress is trying to age gracefully.
During her conversation with Sunday Times Style, Courteney shared that there was a time when she realized that she was changing and that she was getting older, and then for years, one of her quests was to chase that youthfulness. And then came another realization that she was already looking so strange, and that everything she had done with her face was staring back at her negatively.
Although Courteney has given up on cosmetic surgeries and procedures, she is still game to try new beauty products because she still puts intense pressure on herself to look as young and good as possible.
She admitted that in Hollywood, the scrutiny is exceptionally intense. It has converted her into a product whore who will try anything and everything that claims to make her look beautiful and young.
The next milestone that Courteney will be celebrating will be her 60th birthday, and even the actress can’t believe she’s about to turn that age. She clarified that there is nothing wrong with being 60, but that time certainly goes by fast.
