Pink To Embark On Her Largest Tour Ever After The Release Of Trustfall
February 17 is a huge day for Pink as she released her highly-anticipated album, Trustfall. At the same time, she shared with her massive 9.2 million social media followers that she will embark on the biggest tour of her career this year. The tour is named Summer Carnival.
The Raise Your Glass singer shared a beautiful four-image carousel on Instagram and captioned it, “I can’t believe this day is finally here! I have been waiting almost patiently to share my heart and soul with all of you.”
Her post continued, “This album means so much to me it’s silly sauce. I hope this becomes the “I remember where I was when I listened to that album” for you.”
In the first photo, Pink was captured playfully biting the cover of her new album while wearing a beautiful Alexander McQueen bustier dress with statement platform boots.
The So What singer shared several snaps wearing the dress from different angles, captioning the images, “Photo dump cause this dress is my new boyfriend.”
The Lady Marmalade hitmaker, known for showcasing her beautifully toned physique during her performances, recently released a captivating new music video two weeks ago. And the overall theme of her most recent single, Trustfall, is letting go of inhibitions. Fred Again has produced the album.
Pink worked with Georgia Hudson, a director, to produce an enjoyable fantasy video showing a young actress trying to let go and gaining newfound confidence. The Just Give Me A Reason singer shared that while working on her latest album, she had the opportunity to look deeper into her life.
Pink said that she could reevaluate her priorities in life and determine what was most important. While guesting and talking about her new album on Good Morning America, she explained, “’I took time. I had time, and I had a lot of really devastating things happen. My son and I got sick with COVID. That sort of distilled down for me what actually matters.”
The mother-of-two will start her six-week European tour on June 7, and there will be altogether 21 shows performed in Austria, France, Germany, the UK, and Poland.
Meanwhile, the singer’s North American tour will kick off on July 24 in Toronto, and some of the opening acts that have been tapped are Brandi Carlile, DJ Kid Cut Up, and Grouplove. As of date, the singer of the Just Like Fire song has continuously been adding more dates to her tour, given that some concert dates have already sold out.
Recall that Pink performed at the 50th Annual American Music Awards last November, where she gave a tribute rendition of Olivia Newton-John’s Hopelessly Devoted To You. Olivia originally sang this song in 1978 for the classic movie, Grease.
Pink, born Alecia Beth Moore Hart, delivered an emotional rendition of the song, which Olivia also performed at the 21st Grammy Awards in 1979. By the end of her performance, Pink received a standing ovation led by her husband, 47-year-old Carey Hart, and their children, 11-year-old Willow and 5-year-old Jameson.
