Rebel Wilson Is Officially Engaged! Ramona Agruma Said Yes During The Couple’s Disneyland Trip
Rebel Wilson and Ramona Agruma are now officially engaged. The Pitch Perfect alum shared the good news on her Instagram page last Saturday.
In her post, Rebel included a picture of herself showing off the impressive and massive engagement ring she presented to Ramona and another image with them locked in a kiss.
The 42-year-old actress had every little detail planned with the most magical place on Earth, Disneyland, as the backdrop for her proposal. She also took the time to include in her post some words of gratitude to Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings for making her little surprise successful and to Tiffany & Co. for their engagement ring.
Based on the captured images, Rebel and Ramona were wearing matching pink and white striped sweaters when Rebel got down on one knee and asked Ramona to marry her. She popped the big question in front of the park’s Magic Castle. And magic did happen because Ramona accepted.
After Rebel shared the news, well-wishers, fans, and friends flooded the comment section with their wishes. Kathy Hilton and Lindsey Vonn, friends of Rebel, also shared their happiness at the good news.
Rebel shared more pictures from their trip to Disneyland, where she and Ramona were seen having fun and spending time together. They were even captured indulging in some churros before the big proposal moment.
Rebel got the ring from Tiffany & Co. days before the proposal was snapped and shared on her social media. She also uploaded a video to give Rebel’s 11.3 million followers a closer look at the engagement ring, which the actress described as simply stunning.
Rebel and her now-fiancée, Ramona, were introduced to each other in 2021. Rebel, who People previously interviewed, shared how Ramona—although, at that time, she was not named—made an effort to create and build a connection with her even before going on their first date.
The Australian actress was pleased then and with the progress of their relationship when she shared, “We spoke on the phone for weeks before the meeting. And that was an excellent way to get to know each other. It was a bit old-school in that sense — very romantic.”
Another thing that stands out about her relationship with Ramona is that Rebel feels supported. Unlike her previous relationships, sometimes, she has to put up with something she knows is not right.
The Senior Year star described her relationship with Ramona as healthy and as something refreshing for her.
The two were spotted attending several gatherings together earlier last year, but neither has confirmed that they were officially dating and in a relationship then. It was only in June 2022 that they became a couple and became Instagram official.
Rebel and Ramona are not just partners in real life but also in business, as the two collaborated on a loungewear collection they called R&R Club, which they released last November. During the same months, rumors were getting louder that the two were already engaged, but Rebel denied this claim.
Then came another somewhat shocking piece of news when Wilson announced that she was already a mother to a beautiful girl named Royce Lillian. A surrogate carried the baby, who was born on November 7 of last year.
Before the arrival of Rebel’s new bundle of joy, Ramona organized a baby shower, and it was evident that she was supportive of her partner, who she described as amazing, and her endeavors in life.
Rebel’s life looks happy and promising, but she also revealed in the podcast Life Uncut that not all is well with Ramona’s side of the family. She said that “Ramona’s family hasn’t been as accepting. And so, in many respects, it has been a lot harder on her to have to make the news public.”
Rebel hopes she can connect with her fiancée’s family in the future.
