Rihanna’s LA Home Invaded For Second Time By Man Who Wanted To Propose
Rihanna’s home in Los Angeles saw a lot of police action on Thursday after an unknown man showed up on the singer’s doorstep to ask for her hand in marriage.
Per a report from TMZ, police responded to the home after Rihanna’s security team called them to alert them of the man’s presence. The man, whose identity remains unknown, reportedly traveled to LA from South Carolina with the stated purpose of proposing to the Stay singer.
Upon police arrival, the man was apprehended, put in cuffs, and placed in a squad car. Officers questioned him, and he repeated that he was at the house to propose to her.
While police held him for a while, the intruder was not charged with any offense as he had not exactly broken any law. Police ultimately sent him away with a warning not to return to the premises.
It is unclear if Rihanna was home at the time of the incident. However, this would not be the first time an intruder has targeted the pop star’s home. In 2018, another strange man entered her home while she was out of town.
The man, identified as 26-year-old Eduardo Leon, disabled the Diamonds star’s alarm system and broke inside the home. Los Angeles police checked out the home after receiving reports of an intruder, and upon arrival, they discovered he had been at the house for at least a full day. According to reports, he came with a bag, which he had unpacked by the time officers arrived.
Leon was arrested and charged with trespassing, stalking, and residential burglary. According to reports, he told police he was there to have sex with the star.
The latest unwarranted visit has raised concerns about Rihanna’s safety, as she has a young family and a baby on the way. Fans on social media are engaged in a discussion on the precautions celebrities should take regarding security and privacy.
Meanwhile, nothing has been heard from Rihanna so far, and her plans to address the incident are unknown.
With the exception of this incident, everything seems to be going well for Rihanna lately. She filled the hearts of her fans with joy when she revealed in February that she was pregnant with another child. On the musical front, she also appears to be warming her way up to a massive comeback. This year alone, her fans have watched her command the Super Bowl stage as a halftime performer and also the Oscars stage, where she did a solid performance of Lift Me Up, her song for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
The singer’s business is also thriving after a notable increase in visibility coming off a swift showcase at the Super Bowl halftime performance.
