Ruby Rose Disappears On Her Traumatic Birthday And Posts A Worrying Instagram Message, Raising Fears
Friends and fans of Ruby Rose are worried after, without warning, she vanished from social media on the eve of her birthday. And what’s more worrying is that the surprise disappearance happened after Ruby Rose left a post about “nothing to celebrate.”
The Australian actress, who turned 37 this Monday, shared an Instagram Story on her account last Sunday, announcing that she would be logging out of her social media accounts and lying low until Tuesday.
In her cryptic post, which only lasted for a few minutes because the Pitch Perfect actress also deleted it after, she shared that she doesn’t want to celebrate her birthday.
Unfortunately, her post was a total cliffhanger because she didn’t mention why she felt that way, and what was alarming is that it was removed immediately.
Ruby Rose wrote, “Logging off until the 21st. If you have followed me for long enough, you know I don’t acknowledge tomorrow.”
She further shared, “I don’t celebrate that day… that day has never been a celebration. Some have tried, but it was never a celebration at the time, and nor is it now.” She concluded, “So please leave it for me this year.”
It is unclear why the “Orange is the New Black” star wants to be alone for her birthday or why she no longer celebrates her birthday. Based on her post, Ruby Rose doesn’t appear to like her birthday at all, which is confusing, as she has thrown parties with her family and friends to celebrate her birthday in the past.
Recall that in 2019, she had a birthday get-together with her friends, including You actress Elizabeth Lail and her previous Batman co-star, Rachel Skarsten.
The trio was in Ruby Rose’s kitchen, dancing and being casual and relaxed while eating junk food and cake and then singing along to some retro pop songs. It was a laidback celebration, but based on the images, Ruby Rose was enjoying the happy moment.
The three ladies let loose and enjoyed themselves while wearing matching “Happy Birthday, Ruby” t-shirts. Ruby Rose even paid tribute to her friends, calling them the best.
Then, in 2017, while Ruby Rose, a former MTV Australia presenter, was on stage on her birthday for a surprise celebration, her then-partner Jessica Origliasso also serenaded her. She received a bouquet of roses at the live music venue Addie’s Attic in Atlanta before everyone present sang to her.
But in 2020, Ruby Rose didn’t appear to have celebrated her birthday—at least there were no posts or snaps about it, and moving forward, there were still no birthday celebrations.
In 2021, the day before her birthday, it was announced that they already had someone replacing her on the CW show Batwoman. It was Wallis Day, a British actress taking over Ruby Rose’s character, Kate Kane.
Earlier in February, Ruby Rose announced that she plans to write a tell-all memoir to expose the feud and the truth associated with The Veronicas. But Ruby Rose mentioned that this upcoming book project is not in any way a revenge book about how the sisters, Lisa and Jessica Origliasso, were horrible to her. Still, instead, the aim is for her truth and experience to inspire others.
