“As Long as He is A Good Co-Parent to Khai,” Gigi Hadid is Fine with Whoever Her Baby Zaddy Is Dating

The Selena-vs-Hailey drama needs to find another vent—or chill out because there’s an even bigger fish to fry. 

If sources are to be trusted, “Ice Cream” girl Selena Gomez, queen of bare-faced beauty, is diving into the dating pool again. Only recently, on March 23, she was rumored to be spotted around 10:30 p.m. at SoHo “holding hands with” and “kissing” none other than Zayn Malik, former One Direction dreamboat and baba to Khai, a 2-year-old angel he shares with baby mama Gigi Hadid. 

Naturally, it sparked dating rumors, and because the duo follow each other on Instagram (which is huge considering that Zayn only follows a grand total of 18 people), fans were quick to welcome the gossip as fact with open arms (us included, of course). 

Neither party has commented on this yet, but if it turns out to be true—if the text message exchange shared by TikTok user @klarissa.mpeg, which claims the two were seen together at a restaurant in New York City, has a solid basis—this will be Zayn Malik’s first public relationship since his breakup with Gigi Hadid in 2021.

Things had been rocky with Khai’s parents for quite some time, and they only worsened after the alleged altercation between the “Pillowtalk” singer and Yolanda Hadid, the grandmother of his child. 

Moving on from that, the rumor seems to hold its fort down, as an eyewitness told ET that the two “were comfortable together, and it was clear that it was a date”. 

Here’s where it gets spicy—Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez have a lot of mutual friends in the industry; they were even spotted together at many parties alongside the likes of Taylor Swift. So, if Selena and Zayn start dating, it could get awkward really quick. Not to forget that Selena Gomez also dated The Weeknd, Bella Hadid’s ex.  

It sounds pretty dramatic, but according to what a source revealed to US Weekly, Gigi has no problem with the duo’s rumored relationship and is even supportive of her ex dating again. The source said, “As long as he is happy and stable and continues to be a good co-parent to Khai”, Gigi is fine with whoever he dates. 

This is what maturity looks like; let’s all take notes—yes, even those of us mourning the hope we collectively shared of the duo getting back together. 

Per the source, Gigi has moved on after dating Zayn Malik on and off for 7 years and is “having fun”. She was linked to academy award-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio during New York Fashion Week in September 2020, a month after news confirmed that the actor broke up with Camila Morrone, his girlfriend of roughly four years. However, the flame soon fizzled out, and the duo went their separate ways. 

While the rumored pairing appeared short-lived initially, reconciliation rumors began when the duo were seen together multiple times in February this year.
