Kourtney Kardashian Opens Up About Her Decision to Keep Her Wedding Footage Private
Reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian is expressint happiness over her decision to keep her wedding footage private. Despite being a fixture in the public eye through her family’s reality show, “The Kardashians,” Kourtney opted not to have any of her three wedding ceremonies filmed for the show. Instead, she and her husband, Travis Barker, released a special on Hulu called Til Death Do Us Part Kourtney & Travis, which included raw footage from their wedding ceremony in Portofino, Italy. The couple had enlisted photographer Ellen von Unwerth to capture their Italian ceremony, and personal footage from their friends and family was edited into the final film.
Kourtney and Travis had two other weddings, one in Santa Barbara and another in Las Vegas, with personal footage from friends and family also used in the ‘Til Death Do Us Part special. According to Kourtney, the mini film was made out of strings of “personal footage.”
Now she is expressing her gratitude towards those who captured their special moments, saying that she wouldn’t have remembered them otherwise. In hindsight, she sees that the decision to keep her wedding footage private allowed her to cherish the memories with her husband, family, and friends without the pressure of public scrutiny.
The fashion mogul revealed her joy in a social media post, explaining how she loved that they didn’t even realize they were being filmed and that the audio wasn’t always perfect. She also appreciated that it was all “so raw,” without any confessional interviews.
“I love that we didn’t even realize that we were being filmed. I love that no one had on microphones and that the audio isn’t always perfect. I love that sometimes the guys are filming their feet not realizing the camera is still on. It’s all so raw,” she wrote alongside slideshow of the wedding event in Italy.
