Hailey Bieber Addresses Rumored Feud With Selena Gomez In Emotional Instagram Post
Hailey Bieber, the wife of Justin Bieber, recently shared an emotional two-slide text post on Instagram, addressing the difficult year she’s had and her emotional fragility. Fans have been pitting Hailey and Selena Gomez against each other for years, but both have denied any bad blood. However, last month, Hailey became the target of backlash after Selena’s fans accused her of copying Selena’s style choices, career moves, and even her taste in men.
Her Instagram post aimed at setting things straight explained that “things can always be taken out of context or construed differently than they were intended,” she wrote, advocating for more thoughtfulness in things said to other people.
In late March, Selena went out of her way to squash rumors of their so-called feud by urging people to stop trolling and bullying Hailey, who had been receiving death threats. “This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop,” she stated in a post on her Instagram stories.
Hailey publicly thanked Selena for speaking out and shared that they had been discussing how to move past this ongoing narrative between them once and for all. They even started following each other on Instagram to drive home their goodwill.
However, just weeks later, Hailey was roasted online for launching her new cooking show, which critics quickly compared to Selena’s HBO Max cooking series.
The drama between the two ladies spun from Justin who Selena dated on and off for seven years before officially calling it quits in early 2018. In between that relationship, Justin and Hailey had flings starting in 2015. The two would later reconnected with each other a few months after things ended between Justin and Selena and got married three months later.
Despite the drama she is shrouded in, Hailey did get to have some good time at last weekend’s Coachella with Justin.
In her recent Instagram post, Hailey acknowledged that she’s not alone in feeling emotionally fragile, and she urged her followers to keep being there for one another. “Let’s be there for loved ones and friends and family and strangers,” she wrote.
“Let’s just be there for people… let’s keep showing up for each other even when it’s hard. We’re better together,” she added.
