Vanessa Hudgens Is Excited To Be The Future Wife Of Cole Tucker
Without a doubt, Vanessa Hudgens is in love. At the Today Show studio, she was asked how she felt about being engaged to Cole Tucker, her baseball player beau.
And in microseconds, the High School Musical star’s face lit up, and she stated, “It feels amazing.”
Vanessa was in the studio to promote Dead Hot, her Tubi documentary. And she was dressed to kill for her appearance, wearing a skimpy black short dress.
While talking to the show’s co-hosts, Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb, Vanessa gushed, “It’s so funny, I was talking about this with Cole…People are always like, “Does it feel different? [Do] things feel different [getting engaged]?”
Vanessa continued, “That was always my question normally, but now I get to be asked it. And you know what, it actually does.”
The 34-year-old actress went on to share that being engaged to the love of her life gave her a new sense of security. She also expressed how much she loved being a fiancée and that it was the best thing ever.
The singer-actress also revealed how she knew that Cole was the one. Without any hesitation, Vanessa enthused that during their first week together, she called her sister and declared that she thought she had found her future husband.
During the show, there was a point where Vanessa showed Jenna and Hoda a Twitter post by Cole dated January 2012. The tweet was, “In search of a girl who’s down to watch High School Musical with me and scratch my back.”
The three ladies all had a good laugh about Cole’s old tweet, but Hoda suggested making a copy of it, printing it, and framing it. Vanessa liked the direction of the idea and joked that she could put it above the toilet.
Recall that Vanessa and Cole met in a Zoom meditation and yoga class. During the pandemic, the actress admitted she was so obsessed with the baseball player that she sent him a DM. The two started dating soon after.
But the two were in no hurry to announce it to the world and social media and went Instagram official with their friendship on February 14, 2021. Ever since, Vanessa has used the social media platform to showcase her newfound love for golf, a passion that Cole has that eventually became Vanessa’s.
The couple announced their engagement on February 9 through two snapshots. The first showed Cole hugging Vanessa from behind as she showed off her engagement ring, and the second was a close-up of Vanessa’s hand with her diamond ring.
As for Cole, he has an ongoing one-year contract with the minor league Colorado Rockies and has been playing with the minor league affiliate of the team.
After the engagement announcement, no official statement was released on when the couple’s wedding will be. Other details have also yet to be shared by either Vanessa or Cole. However, the wedding will likely be planned during the baseball off-season.
