Exes Kim Kardashian And Pete Davidson Reunite At The 2023 Met Gala: Pics Go Viral
Kim Kardashian and her ex Peter Davidson were all smiles as they ran into each other at the 2023 Met Gala.
Last year, Kim attended the Met Gala with her then-boyfriend Pete Davidson and looked stunning in an iconic Marilyn Monroe dress. Just a couple of months later, however, the couple decided to part ways, with reports that they still had a “lot of love and respect” for each other but that the long-distance relationship was becoming difficult to maintain.
This year, when attending the event at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Arts, the exes were photographed chatting and smiling at the party.
Kim wore a custom stunning beaded Schiaparelli gown with a nude bra and mini skirt. And Pete wore a Fendi T-shirt, leather pants, and a trench coat.
The Met Gala is very special for the couple, it is where they first met during the 2021 Met Gala and also where they debuted as a couple the following year.
When discussing her relationship with Pete at the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast last year, Kim recalled, “He had been asking around for my number a little bit. I saw him at the Met and he knew I was hosting SNL, but it wasn’t announced yet. He came up to me and we were talking about SNL.”
They connected in October 2021, when Kim hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live. This was just six months after filing for divorce from her estranged husband Kanye West. Kim and Pete shared an onscreen kiss during the broadcast, something that sparked a “little zing” according to Kim. The pair started dating shortly after.
Regarding the kiss, Kim remembered, “When we kissed, I was just like, ‘Hmm!’,” and added, “A few days later, I was like, ‘Hmm, there is some BDE action.’”
The couple dated for nine months before calling it quits in August last year. But before they went their separate ways, they walked the red carpet of the 2022 Met Gala, which was documented on an episode of The Kardashians.
In the episode, the couple remembers their first encounter. Recalling the moment, Pete asked Kim, “Remember when I asked for your number at the last Met and you pretended that you couldn’t give it to me because you had gloves on?” to which the SKIMS mogul answers, “I know. Will you ask me again this time? I don’t have gloves on.”
After their split, Pete has been dating Chase Sui Wonders, his Bodies Bodies Bodies co-star. However, Kim is “not ready” to date yet. In her September appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan, Kim said “I’m not looking for anything. I think I just really need to be by myself and focus on finishing law school and my kids.”
This year’s Met Gala is themed “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” — a tribute to the late designer.
Remembering the designer, Kim posted on Instagram, “We lost a true legend!!!! You were such an inspiration to the world! You shot my first fashion shoot and I was so nervous to work with such an icon! The world is so much chicer because you existed! I am beyond honored to have met you and had the opportunity to work with you. You are so loved and will be so missed.”
