Kim Kardashian Excels In Law Midterms, Sets Sights On Bar Exam
Kim Kardashian made headlines once again this week as she shared a promising update on her journey to becoming a lawyer. The 42-year-old reality star revealed that she recently achieved outstanding results on two law midterms, scoring straight A’s.
While speaking about her ongoing studies during an interview with Savannah Guthrie on Tuesday’s episode of the Today show, Kim expressed her current focus on constitutional law, describing it as her toughest subject. Despite her challenges, she enthusiastically shared her recent midterm scores, stating, “I took a midterm yesterday. I got 100 percent, and then I got a 95 percent on my other midterm. So I feel — that gives me that boost of confidence again just to push through.”
Looking forward, the entrepreneur mentioned her intention to take the bar exam in the near future, stating, “Hopefully in the next year or so, I can take the official bar and be done.”
Although Kim is not yet a lawyer, she has already achieved notable legal success. In 2018, she played a crucial role in successfully campaigning for the clemency of Alice Marie Johnson, who had been sentenced to life in prison for a nonviolent offense. Since then, she has consistently advocated for inmates and criminal justice reform.
Notably, the mom of four passed the challenging “baby bar” in 2021, following three attempts. She took to Instagram to celebrate her achievement, writing, “‘OMFGGGG I PASSED THE BABY BAR EXAM!!!! Looking in the mirror, I am really proud of the woman looking back today in the reflection. For anyone who doesn’t know my law school journey, know this wasn’t easy or handed to me.'”
Despite facing initial failures, Kim remained resilient and found motivation in her late father, Robert Kardashian who famously served on O.J. Simpson’s defense team during his 1995 murder trial. Imagining his support, she shared, “If he were alive today, he would have been my biggest supporter.”
Expressing her gratitude, Kim thanked numerous individuals who have supported her throughout her journey, including Emmy-winning host and contributor for CNN Van Jones and Jessica Jackson and Erin Haney, under whom she has completed her law studies during her four-year apprenticeship at a San Francisco law firm.
In a heartfelt tribute to her late father, Kim wrote, “I know my dad would be so proud, and he would actually be so shocked to know that this is my path now, but he would have been my best study partner.”
Encouraging her followers, Kardashian concluded her post with an inspiring message: “Bottom line is don’t ever give up, even when you are holding on by a thread, you can do it!!!!! Set your mind to it and get it done because it feels soooooo good once you get to the other side!”
