Jessie J recently introduced her baby boy to the world in an adorable Instagram post. The 35-year-old artist, who had been eagerly anticipating a natural birth, shared the story of her son’s arrival and the unexpected turn of events.

In an Instagram Reel, Jessie J provided a glimpse into her birthing experience by sharing footage of herself dancing and twerking playfully in a hospital room while wearing a hospital gown. She explained that she had spent nine months preparing for a natural birth, diligently following a strict food and exercise regimen in hopes of delivering her baby in a pool without medication.
However, her son had different plans. During a scan a few days before her due date, it was discovered that he was positioned incorrectly and was larger than average. Despite Jessie J’s efforts to encourage him to turn, he seemed determined to make a different entrance from the one his mom had planned. Recognizing the importance of her baby’s safety, the Price Tag singer made the decision to have a planned cesarean section.
Just moments before going into surgery, Jessie J captured a video in which she expressed her excitement to finally meet her baby boy. Reflecting on her birth experience, she addressed those who questioned whether she felt like she missed out on the birth she had envisioned. She emphasized that the most important thing was holding her son in her arms, stating, “I had a birth and it was everything I wanted because I got him at the end of it, that’s all that matters.”
In a subsequent Instagram Story, Jessie J candidly discussed her cesarean section, acknowledging the impact her post had on women who had experienced shame or guilt surrounding their own c-sections. She firmly stated that a c-section is not the easy way out and encouraged others to disregard anyone who suggested otherwise.
