Lindsay Lohan Embraces Motherhood: Excitement Builds As Actress Prepares For First Child
Lindsay Lohan is eagerly anticipating the arrival of her first child. In an interview with Allure magazine for their June issue, the actress expressed her excitement about becoming a mother.
“I can’t wait to see what the feeling is and what it’s like to just be a mom,” Lindsay, who is 36 years old and currently resides in Dubai with her financier husband, Bader Shammas, shared with the magazine. “Happy tears. That’s just who I am. Though now, it’s probably baby emotion. It’s overwhelming in a good way,” she continued.
The actress known for films like Mean Girls and The Parent Trap, admitted that she thrives on having structure in her life.
“Sometimes I call it The Truman Show, because it’s the same thing every day,” she revealed. “But I love it. I really love structure, because I didn’t think I had that when I was young. Everything was coming so fast and I had so many things happening. My only structure was filming and being on set.”
When it comes to balancing her career with motherhood, Lindsay shared advice given to her by her friend and former co-star Jamie Lee Curtis: “You just bring the baby with you, and everything will be fine.”
On the cover of Allure, Lindsay appeared in an embellished black jacket and a black hood, one hand on her chest and the other cradling her stomach. In her photoshoot with Ben Hassett, she posed in various glamorous outfits, including a shot where she placed her hand on her bare baby bump and another wearing a black two-piece ensemble.
Lindsay first broke the news of her pregnancy in March. Posting a photo of a baby onesie on her Instagram page, she expressed her blessings and excitement. Speaking to PEOPLE, the actress’ mom, Dina Lohan revealed that she has always wanted to be a mom. “Lindsay has always loved kids because I love kids and my mother loves kids; I’m one of four. We have a big family, so she’s always wanted children. And she’s so maternal. Isabelle, her niece, just runs to her when she sees her,” the expectant grandmother said.
According to Dina, the timing couldn’t be more perfect for Lindsay and her husband. “She’s been trying and then it happened, that little stick came up positive. It’s the right time for her and Bader is an angel. Her husband is so sweet and they’re just so happy. They’re just really happy and ready,” she stated.
