Angelina Jolie Collaborates With Chloe For Her New Collection, With Earnings To Be Invested In Her Artisans’ Apprenticeships
Tomb Raider Angelina Jolie has now partnered with Chloe.
The actress and director, who revealed she had her own label last May, has now teamed up with Chloe to develop a women’s wear capsule collection.
The 48-year-old Angelina is now collaborating with the French luxury fashion house to develop a sustainable Atelier Jolie collection co-designed by the actress herself and Gabriela Hearst, Chloe’s creative director.
Angelina’s wardrobe inspires the new collection, which will offer evening wear with tactile details and seamless silhouettes. Staying true to her taste in clothes, the collection will also provide a timeless aesthetic to meet Angelina’s central vision of creating unique pieces that exemplify purpose and individual creativity.
The capsule collection is highly influenced by Angelina and Chloe’s mutual high principles for the world’s benefit. The former UN Ambassador committed to donate the collection’s revenue to invest in creating apprenticeships for her Atelier Jolie artisans and tailors.
In one of her interviews, Gabriela mentioned, “From the moment I heard about Angelina’s vision for Atelier Jolie, I believed in it. It is a way to elevate others through the beauty of garment-making and her deep respect for the environment.”
She further expressed how honored they are, especially her, that Chloe is the first to collaborate with Atelier Jolie, given that both share mutual principles.
Angelina explained this, “Very few luxury brands are a certified B Corp. It was important to me to work with Chloé, one of the first luxury brands to be a B Corp. It has been a privilege to design with Gabriela Hearst, and I hope all women will feel comfortable and beautiful in this capsule collection.”
Atelier Jolie will debut and be available on the market by autumn.
Recall that Angelina launched Atelier Jolie in May to become one of her creative spaces, specifically in the design field. Jolie, who is Brad Pitt’s ex-wife, then shared her company’s new logo and hoped that her company would be a place for creatives to self-discover, have fun, and be free with their designs.
The mother-of-six shared that Atelier Jolie will be a place for all creative people to share and collaborate. It will be a space for a diverse family of skilled tailors, expert pattern makers, and unique artisans worldwide. The Eternal actress is motivated by her experience and respect for working with the many tailors in her career.
Angelina wants Atelier Jolie to be a frontline when it comes to using high-quality vintage materials and deadstock fabrics that are already available today and to advocate and promote self-expression.
Deadstock fabrics are the hundreds of fabric rolls the fabric mill does not sell or the leftovers from a production run.
With this, Angelina also aims to educate that every element contributes when eating any collection. She cited an example that, although the designers sketch and then approve the final designs, the tailors make the difference and bring the design to life.
