Kourtney Kardashian Shares The True Reason Why She Felt The Need To Distance Herself From Her Intolerable Sister, Kim

All families have their share of relationship struggles; even influencers and reality TV celebrities have their own stories. And Kourtney Kardashian has been open about her not-so-good relationship with her sister, Kim Kardashian, as seen through the entire season of their reality show, The Kardashians, shown on Hulu. 

Many have assumed that Kourtney feels insecure and indifferent toward Kim, but recently, Kourtney shed some light on why she was so upset with her sister that she thought she needed to distance herself from her.

At the onset of the season, the show revealed how the 42-year-old Kim shared her concern about how her older sister by two years, Kourtney, would react and take the news of her signing as the creative director of the Dolce & Gabbana show in Milan. Her concern stemmed from the fact that D&G styled Kourtney and Travis during their wedding.

 Now that the season is over and the Kardashian-Jenner clan is back stateside, Kourtney is ready to discuss her issue with Kim. This is after the oldest Kardashian sibling made headlines recently for her pregnancy announcement and gender reveal party.

 One episode of their reality show starts with Kim and her glam squad heading to the LA DMV for her driver’s license photoshoot. From there, the venue transitioned to Kourtney’s home, where Simon Huck and Khloé were also present.

 Simon asked Kourtney if, by any chance, she had spoken with Kim yet, and Khloé answered that no, Kourtney hadn’t spoken with Kim yet, which is one reason why the youngest Kardashian was there. 

Kourtney revealed that whatever was happening between her sisters Kourtney and Kim was causing the tension to keep brewing, and the longer they refused to speak to one another, the thicker the pressure became.

 Khloé asked her older sister Kourtney to talk to Kim to move things along and tell her what was wrong. The concerned sister also stated that what was happening between Kourtney and Kim was unhealthy for both.

Simon also quipped that he believed that Kim was ready to have a conversation with Kourtney, but Travis’ wife thinks otherwise, stating that if Kim was indeed feeling bad, she should have reached out already. She also corrected Khloé when her sister said Kim tried to talk to Kourtney because that never happened.

Kourtney revealed that with Kim, there’s no sense of loyalty to the family but only a level of greediness. The wife of the Blink 182 drummer also confessed that she still feels terrible about what happened at her wedding, where she didn’t feel supported, and that Kim did not respect any of her boundaries. She even called her sister intolerable.

Khloé, trying to be the family’s peacekeeper, asked her sister if she intended not to talk to Kim forever. Kourtney cheekily answered that it was an option for her. Further explaining her part, Kourtney revealed that for her survival, she must have her own identity away from her family. She confessed how much she loves being separate and having her own friends and family.
