Full House Stars Reveal Unbreakable Bonds Between Cast And Their Kids
In a heartwarming revelation, the cast of ABC sitcom Full House has proven that their camaraderie goes beyond the screen. Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber, two cherished members of the series, granted an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, shedding light on the close connections their families have formed.
During the shooting of Fuller House, the show’s continuation, the cast’s kids frequently graced the set, turning it into a family affair. Jodie, 41, fondly recalls those times, stating, “Our moms were close, our kids were close. That goes for everybody… It’s not just us as Full House cast members. Really, we got to know everyone’s extended families and nieces and nephews and parents and everything, of the adult cast and the kids. All of us are connected.”
The friendship between Jodie and Andrea’s kids, particularly their daughters, Felicity and Zoe, stands out as an endearing bond. A mere year apart, they resembled sisters and were inseparable on set.
Andrea shared, “They just wanted to hang out in the audience, hang out in our dressing rooms, hang out in the school room with the other Full House kids from the cast.”
As heartwarming as it may be, their kids’ togetherness did lead to some mischief during filming. Jodie humorously recounted, “We would be in the middle of a scene sometimes, and we’d hear the kids in the back, and we were like, ‘That was mine, wasn’t it? Was that my kid? That was my kid.'”
According to the actresses, their little ones’ playful antics brought both joy and exasperation to the set, with Andrea adding, “They would drive the ADs nuts… The footsteps running down the hallway of the dressing rooms.”
The deep bond between Jodie and Andrea has also led them to embark on a new project together – the iHeartRadio podcast, How Rude, Tanneritos! Here, they plan to reminisce about their time on Full House and what it was like growing up as child actors.
“Jodie and I have always been close, and Fuller House just brought us even closer, and so I’m expecting that this podcast will do the same. We’re just going to get even closer. Full House was our childhood for eight years, eight very formative years. And so getting to relive those memories, things that we haven’t thought about in 35 years, I expect it’s going to deepen our bond even more than it already is,” Andrea shared.
The podcast is expected to be a treat for fans, taking them on a nostalgic journey through the show’s cherished moments. Jodie, filled with excitement, proclaimed, “I’m really excited to see what we get to do with this podcast. I think the fans are going to love it.”
