Taylor Swift Joins Selena Gomez In Celebrating Her New Single “Single Soon”
Pop music sensation Taylor Swift showed her unwavering support for her best friend and fellow artist Selena Gomez as she released her highly anticipated new single after a year-long hiatus.
Selena, 31, dropped her catchy and energetic dance track titled Single Soon on Friday. The single garnered immense appreciation from her dedicated fans and earned a special shoutout from her best friend, Taylor.
On Saturday, the 33-year-old Blank Space singer took to her Instagram Story to express her pride in Selena’s achievement. Sharing a reel originally posted by Selena herself, which featured captivating clips from the music video of Single Soon, Taylor wrote, “When your bestie is the bestest.”
She also added that she plans to keep dancing to the beats of the Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat-produced track indefinitely. In her words: “Will be dancing to this forever methinks.”
Selena reciprocated the love by reposting Taylor’s supportive post on her own Instagram Story the following day.
The camaraderie between Taylor and Selena is well-known and cherished by fans. Though both celebrities are known for being private, they’ve made several public appearances together this year. In April, Selena and her sister attended one of Taylor’s Eras Tour shows in Texas, where Taylor gifted Gracie her hat during the performance of “22,” a beloved tradition of the tour.

Earlier this month, Selena once again accompanied her sister to Taylor’s Eras Tour, which concluded with a series of sold-out shows at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium. Selena kept a low profile in the VIP tent but showcased the many friendship bracelets she received from adoring fans.
The songstress described Single Soon as a “playful anthem about being comfortable in your own skin and loving your own company.” In an Instagram post, she emphasized that the song is incredibly enjoyable to dance to.
Additionally, the single provides a sneak peek into Selena’s forthcoming album, tentatively titled SG3, which she diligently worked on over the past year.
Despite being in the final stages of completing the album, the Heart Wants What It Wants star was eager to release this “fun little song” that she believed to be a perfect fit for the conclusion of the summer season.
