After Nine Months of Romance, It’s Over for Pete Davidson and Chase SUI Wonders
After a nine-month relationship, Pete Davidson and Chase Sui Wonders are going their separate ways.
The 29-year-old former Saturday Night Live star and the 27-year-old actress first met in Bodies Bodies Bodies, a film that was released in 2022. They officially started dating in December, but a source revealed to People that it’s over.
The insider shared that Pete is single again. The comedian has been known to have short-lived and whirlwind romances with high-profile women, including Kim Kardashian, whom he also dated for nine months.
Despite breaking up with Chase, Pete was described as being in good spirits and doing well. As of writing, neither Pete, Chase, nor any of their representatives have commented about the breakup.
During happier times for the ex-couple, Chase had an interview with Nylon Magazine. In the May interview, she revealed her “sacred” relationship with Pete. She told the publication, “[Pete and I] became fast friends on Bodies, and it was clear that we could work together super well. He’s such a pro, and acting with him is my favorite. As soon as I got onto Bupkis, it felt like we were flowing again.
The two were later seen in January hugging each other inside a Brooklyn restaurant. In the same month, the couple also made a trip to Universal Studios Hollywood and were caught kissing on an escalator.
In March, the loved-up couple had a romantic getaway to Hawaii and were snapped several times engaging in PDA. Pete, Chase, some of his friends, and a couple of her family members went and tried the new 1 Hotel in Hawaii for some rest and recreation. They were seen checking out the golf course and the hotel spa.
Pete and Chase first crossed paths when they starred in the A24 thriller Bodies Bodies Bodies. In the movie, they played boyfriend and girlfriend.
Before hooking up, they were dating different people. At the time, Chase was seeing Charles Melton, the Riverdale actor. Although there was no official statement of their break-up, it’s assumed that their previous relationships ended before they started going out with each other.
Pete, on the other hand, was previously engaged to Ariana Grande. He was also romantically linked to A-list actresses Kate Beckinsale, Phoebe Dynevor, and model Emily Ratajkowski.
Pete’s split with Chase comes two months after voluntarily checking into rehab amidst his struggle with PTSD and Borderline Personality Disorder. After first revealing that he had mental issues in 2018, Pete has remained vocal about his mental health challenges, including his ongoing battle with anxiety and depression. He also openly admitted that he was admitted to a rehab facility in 2016 after experiencing a mental breakdown.
A friend of Pete shared with Page Six that the comedian has always been proactive about self-care. He will always ask for and get the help he needs. It was also revealed that Pete often checks into rehab for tune-ups and times when he wants a break.
