Pete Davidson Involved in Another Car Accident
Comedian Pete Davidson once again found himself involved in another vehicular accident just a few months after he was charged with reckless driving.
This time, the 29-year-old’s fender bender happened last Saturday after he left The Wiltern, a stand-up comedy show in Los Angeles. Based on eyewitness accounts, Pete “swiped his car against the side of a wall while exiting the venue” at around 10 in the evening.
According to Page Six, the black GMC SUV that Pete was driving ended up with swipe marks from grating against the wall. Many of the onlookers weren’t aware that it was Pete driving the car. They only discovered that it was the American comedian when he got out of the vehicle.
When the incident happened, Pete had four other passengers inside the car though his rumored fling Madeline Cline was not with them.
There were other A-listers who attended the comedy show like Ruby Rose and Machine Gun Kelly. But both left the show before Pete and his companions.
One photo of the incident showed the Saturday Night Live alum wearing a green hoodie and holding a cigarette in one hand. At one point, he tried to shield his face from the paparazzi with his hands.
Recall that in March, Pete and Chase Sui, his then-girlfriend, got involved in a car accident where they crashed into a residential home in Beverly Hills. Before Pete lost control and rammed into the house, he was driving his Mercedes-Benz at breakneck speed. Before colliding with the house, many claimed that Pete also hopped a curb and hit a fire hydrant.
After the incident, the LA District Attorney’s office said, “Luckily, no one was seriously injured due to this collision. We know that reckless driving can have devastating consequences. In 2022, traffic fatalities in Los Angeles have reached the highest levels in 20 years. This is an alarming trend that we cannot ignore. As a result, it’s crucial that we take all allegations of reckless driving seriously and hold those responsible accountable.”
By June, Pete was charged with reckless driving. Unfortunately, the property he damaged needed to be demolished because the foundation was also struck. He was also mandated to complete 50 hours of community service.
The police clarified that during the incident, alcohol and drugs were not factors that led to the car crash. Authorities highlighted this fact because many speculated that Pete might have been driving under the influence. Many also associated his PTSD with the incident since it’s public knowledge that the actor has checked himself into rehabilitation facilities whenever he needed additional support. The celebrity has also spoken about being diagnosed with borderline personality disorder in the past.
Luckily, nobody was injured during both incidents though police were called and investigations ensued. Pete and his companions also did not sustain any injuries because of the cars’ airbags.
As of writing, Pete and his representatives have yet to release a statement about the most recent car accident.
