Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker Welcome Their Healthy Son After Nightmare Fetal Surgery

Kourtney Kardashian and her husband, Travis Barker, have embarked on a new chapter of their married lives as parents to their baby boy. The two have welcomed their first child together.

The day they were finally able to hold their son is a massive relief to the 44-year-old reality star and to the 47-year-old musician who experienced a rather complicated and traumatic journey to reach this stage. For the last two years, the two tried to conceive a baby without success. They resorted to IVF, and unfortunately, all of them were unsuccessful.

Finally, Kourtney stopped the IVF treatment, and when she did, she was able to conceive naturally. Getting pregnant without any medical intervention was described by Kourtney as “God’s plan.”

Recall that during her interview last year with Vanity Fair Italia, Kourtney shared, “How could you question God’s plan? Because that’s how I see this pregnancy, which came when both Travis and I weren’t even thinking about it anymore and a year after we stopped IVF.”

The POOSH founder and her husband also had a scare when she had to undergo fetal surgery in September—a procedure to save her unborn baby’s life.

Before the news that Kourtney had given birth, Travis accidentally revealed the name they planned to give their baby. The Blink-182 drummer shared that their son will be named Rocky Thirteen Barker. Aside from the name, he also disclosed the due date of her wife, which was October 31st.

Many then speculated that Kourtney had already given birth or was about to do so. Adding fuel to the fire, Kylie Jenner, Kourtney’s youngest sister, was seen outside Los Angeles’ Cedars Sinai Hospital last Friday. Travis was also spotted in the same hospital.

The following day, Travis posted some marketing plugs for Famous, his clothing line, on Instagram Stories. There was no mention or the slightest indication of a bouncing baby boy.

Kourtney’s son with Travis is her fourth child. She had three children with her ex-partner Scott Disick: 13-year-old Mason, 11-year-old Penelope, and 8-year-old Reign. Meanwhile, this baby is the third for Travis, who shares two older children, 20-year-old Landon and 17-year-old Alabama, with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler.

Travis also considers 24-year-old Atiana De La Hoya as one of his children. Atiana, a model, is Shanna’s daughter with boxer Oscar De La Hoya.

Kourtney and Travis’ relationship began with being friends for almost a decade before they decided to pursue the romantic feelings they developed for each other. They became Instagram official in February 2021 and then got engaged in October of the same year. The couple tied the knot twice in 2022.

Kourtney has always been vocal about her struggles getting pregnant. She uses her social media accounts and their family reality show, The Kardashians, to share the struggles and emotions of trying to conceive and failing.

There was an episode where she told her mom, Kris Jenner, that the consultation with the doctor was awful, and then another time when she admitted that her struggle was taking a toll on her mental health.
