Paris Hilton Welcomes Second Child London
Paris Hilton’s Thanksgiving this year is definitely one for the books. She chose last November 23rd to announce the arrival of her baby girl whom she named London.
The 42-socialite shared the surprising news by posting a pink baby outfit with the name “London” embroidered on it. This alone revealed the gender of her little one as well as the name of their new family member. She captioned the photo with, “Thankful for my baby girl.”
Paris’ post triggered plenty of confusion among her fans and followers because they didn’t know if the baby had arrived. She later clarified through a TikTok comment that her baby girl had been born with the statement, “My princess has arrived!”
Paris’ baby girl is her second child with Carter Reum. She and her husband welcomed their son Phoenix earlier this year via a surrogate.
Aside from the photo of a girl’s baby clothes, the influencer shared a picture of her little boy in her Instagram stories, fondly referring to him as a big brother.
After her massive Instagram announcement, she posted on her TikTok account an adorable video of her niece and nephew. She filmed them as she asked, “Are you guys excited for your new cousin?”
The pair innocently asked their aunt, “You have two babies?” Paris confirmed, “I have two babies,” while holding Phoenix.
The arrival of Paris’ second child definitely came as a surprise though the decision to name her second child London was less shocking. During one of her live episodes, Paris shared that she had picked out a name for her future daughter more than a decade ago. During her March 1 episode, she revealed that she has been holding on to the name London if she would be blessed with a daughter.
She shared at the time, “I’m really excited for Phoenix to have a baby sister one day—named London. It’s my favorite city, and I’ve always wanted to name my daughter London. I had actually picked that name for a long time now, probably over ten years. I always wanted London. I love that name for my daughter.”
Paris, who is named after the French capital, clearly wants to continue the trend of naming her children after big cities. She admitted that coming up with her oldest child’s name, Phoenix, was not easy.
According to her, “It was hard to pick [Phoenix] because a lot of the cities that I like just wouldn’t sound good as a name. Like Ibiza would be so weird as a kids’ name, Vegas would be weird. It’s difficult to find a cool name that’s a city for a boy. Besides London, (because) that works for both.”
During one of her Paris in Love episodes, the heiress revealed that she and Carter didn’t tell anybody—not even their parents—about Phoenix.
In the clip, Carter could be seen driving while Paris occupied the passenger’s seat. She told him, “If people found out, there would be paparazzi all over Cedar’s [Sinai]. I’m hoping and praying that no one at the hospital tells.”
Paris could be heard further instructing her husband, “If anyone recognizes me, let’s pretend it’s our nephew.”
After Phoenix’s birth in January, Paris shared that she underwent IVF treatments in late February because she badly wanted to have a daughte
