Kendall Jenner Lands a Forbes Cover, Making Her the Third Kardashian-Jenner Sister To Do So
Vogue Supermodel Kendall Jenner is the face of Forbes magazine’s much-awaited Special Issue: 30 Under 30 for the Class of 2023.
The magazine recognized the 28-year-old socialite as a successful entrepreneur—she is the founder of her company, 818 Tequila. It is worth mentioning that since she launched her product two years ago, it has had a success story worth being proud of.
To date, Kendall has joined two of her sisters in gracing the cover of Forbes magazine. In 2016, older sister Kim Kardashian was hailed as a mobile mogul. She was on the magazine’s cover primarily due to the online games that added to her fortune. Two years later, younger sister Kylie’s own cover story was published after she made $1 billion through Kylie Cosmetics.
Kylie’s feature was somewhat dimmed by some controversy, given that she was not quite an official billionaire yet at publication. Forbes claimed they were misled into believing that the youngest Kardashian-Jenner sister had achieved the milestone when they planned the magazine cover.
But all was forgotten as Kylie crossed the $1 billion threshold soon enough. After all, the featured star on the cover of Forbes magazine doesn’t need to be a billionaire—it is enough that they are savvy and successful in their field.
And now, it is Kendall’s turn. Based on Celebrity Net Worth, she is currently worth $60 million. And this is expected to grow exponentially, given that her company has already expanded into the international market.
In her Forbes cover story, Kendall shared how she wanted her brand to be independent of her star power. She wants her products to sell even without people knowing that it was associated with her.
The Calabasas-based model said, “I wanted the liquid and the brand to stand on their own and for people to love it without me even having to be a part of it because I just wanted it to be that good.”
The reality star shared that she was extremely cautious about the kind of business she wanted to venture into. She said that in 2021, when she launched her business, she was not rushing unthinkingly into something and described herself as very intentional.
She further explained, “I don’t want to do anything that doesn’t align with my vibes, or my morals, or my feelings and things that really make me feel good and make me feel excited to wake up in the morning. And I had to work to get to that place; it wasn’t always that easy.”
Furthermore, if given the chance, the model has something to say to her younger self: enjoy life and slow down.
This piece of advice is very Kendall and very suitable for her, too—she has been very open about the fact that she deals with anxiety. Her life is quite hectic, given her modeling career, entrepreneurship, and simply being part of a family that has been in the public eye for many years.
Kendall emphasizes that although cheesy and cliché, she’d tell herself to “stop and smell the roses when you can.”
Note that Kendall’s 818 Tequila earned the title of 2021’s Best-Selling New Tequila brand in the US. In its debut in California last May 2021, her product sold out in just four hours.
