Megan Fox Is Determined To Raise Her Sons Differently. Here’s What the Mother of Three Had To Say
Megan Fox has had quite a history of bad relationships, and what she has to say about raising her sons differently is very commendable.
The 37-year-old actor recently talked to Women’s Wear Daily while promoting her collection of poems, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous. The series of poems reflects on her experiences in previous relationships. She did this to teach her sons what they shouldn’t do when they grow up.
The mother of three sons talked about not wanting her children to become anything like the generation of men she grew up around or has had relationships with. She said, “I think because I have sons, it’s very important to me to raise boys who are not like these men that I’ve been with. It’s very important for me to raise boys who are able to have a very deep emotional intimacy with their partner.”
Megan, who shares three sons—Noah (11), Bodhi (9), and Journey (7)—with ex-husband Brian Austin Green (50), then continued, “It’s very important to me that they are not liars, that they are able to be fully transparent and honest and respectful and experienced at some point in their life.”
In 2022, Megan was criticized online for letting her son wear a dress. Even then, she opened up about her conversations with her children, including gender identity and expression. She showed her support to her son Noah and “bought a bunch of books that sort of addressed these things and addressed a full spectrum of what this is,” she said.
The Jennifer’s Body star admitted, “I have a lot of worries about that, because I just wish that humanity was not like this. Although my kid is so brave and my child is so brave and I know that they’ve chosen this journey for a reason. It’s just hard as a mom.”
It’s clear that Megan is all about providing a healthy upbringing for her children, and her fiance, Machine Gun Kelly (MGK), agrees with this.
The Hollywood actress also opened up about her recent miscarriage, saying, “[It] was so much harder than I would’ve anticipated it being, and I’ve really analyzed ‘Why was that? Why was that so difficult for me?’”
She continued, “Because when I was younger, I had an ectopic pregnancy, I’ve had other things that I’m not going to say because God forbid the world will be in an uproar.”
While Megan and MGK seem to be steady now, a couple of months ago, they, too, seemed to have a tumultuous relationship, with rumors of MGK’s dishonesty flying around. However, sources said that the couple was working on their relationship. And from the looks of it, they are stronger than ever.
In an older interview, Brian Austin Green, Megan’s ex, said that the two shared a healthy, co-parenting relationship. He said they were “incredibly fortunate.” He emphasized that their primary focus was their three children.
