Travis Scott Almost Falls During NYC Concert
Travis Scott faced a dramatic moment during his recent performance at Barclays Center in New York. The 32-year-old artist, known for hits like Goosebumps” and Sicko Mode, found himself on the edge when a head-shaped prop unexpectedly struck him while he was on stage.
In a fan-captured video from his Utopia — Circus Maximus Tour stop, Travis can be seen confidently singing on stage until the peculiar object edged closer, causing him to stumble off a bridge-like structure onto the lower stage. Fortunately, he managed to land safely and swiftly recovered, all while keeping the show going without any interruptions.
This incident left fans both shocked and relieved, with many applauding the singer’s composure and professionalism in the face of such an unexpected challenge.
The incident follows closely on the heels of another setback for Travis. Just days prior, the artist had to cancel his Chicago concert due to flight delays, sharing his frustrations on social media, where he expressed his eagerness to perform in Chicago.
“I literally spent 24 hrs on a fucking runway. Craziest shit http://ever.To my people in Chicago I was so ready to go crazyyyy. Chicago always been one if my favorite places. Togo ham and been waiting for it the whole tour.I will be back the first couple days of January,” he wrote.
Despite these recent trials, Travis has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to his music and his fans. Last month, in an interview with GQ for their Men of the Year Issue, he discussed the tragic events of the 2021 Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas, where 10 concertgoers lost their lives and thousands were injured in a crowd crush.
He emphasized how deeply the tragedy affected him and how much he cares for his fans, referring to them as his “family.” He expressed his constant thoughts about the incident, acknowledging the profound impact it had on both the affected families and the city of Houston.
The artist also revealed that the emotional toll of the incident significantly influenced the creation of his latest album, “Utopia.” He described the months of struggle it took to find his way back to his music and the therapeutic nature of channeling his emotions into his art.
As he explained, “Making music, you think about things that go on in life and things that happen in your life, and you dial in on things. That moment for families, for the city, you know, it was devastating.”
