Blake Shelton Shares Christmas Tradition With Gwen Stefani
At the cozy abode of Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, the holidays are more than just a season – they’re a way of life. In a heartwarming glimpse into their world, the country singer shared their deep love for celebrating the festive spirit.
“I think we’re the biggest celebrators of holidays of any of my friends and family members. We really go for it,” Blake told PEOPLE. “Gwen and I love to pull up to the house and see over-the-top Christmas decorations or walk into the house during Thanksgiving and see all the pumpkins.”
Blake often finds himself swept up in a wave of nostalgia during the holiday season. He cherishes the moments spent with Gwen, who shares his passion for all things festive. Together, they dive headfirst into the holidays, embracing every joyous moment.
“Gwen is the perfect person for me to be with because that is one of her passions. So we really lean into the holidays literally as much as we possibly can without just going broke doing it. We love it that much,” he beamed.
However, there’s one thing Blake and Gwen don’t do – hang Christmas lights on the outside of their house. It’s not a matter of laziness, but rather a pragmatic decision, according to them.
“That’s one of those things where it’s like, I’ve made my point. I’ve got some money. I’m not going to break my own neck to get up there. I’m going to hire some guy who’s way better at it than I am,” he humorously explained.
While Blake lends a helping hand with the decorations, he openly acknowledges that his wife, with the assistance of hired professionals, takes the lead when it comes to creating a festive wonderland indoors.
“Gwen’s got the little town set up in the house, the fake snow everywhere. I just love all of that stuff, the gingerbread houses. We really go over the top with it. I’ll sit there and stare at that stuff all day long,” he said with an appreciative smile.
Yet, the holidays at Blake and Gwen’s aren’t just about the decor. They also have a culinary adventure together, whipping up homemade holiday spreads every year. In 2023, they relished a Funyon-coated turkey for Thanksgiving and indulged in an Italian feast they prepared themselves for Christmas.
