Ice Spice Announces Debut Album “Y2K”
Ice Spice, the 24-year-old rap sensation, has been hard at work in the studio, and fans are in for a treat. During a recent appearance on TODAY, she officially confirmed that her debut album is on the horizon, and it’s coming sooner than you might think.

Referring to her birthdate of January 1, 2000, she explained, “I was [born on Y2K] and that’s why I decided to name it that.”
Ice Spice didn’t spill all the beans about the album just yet, but she did confirm that collaborations are in the works. With an air of mystery and excitement, she teased, “I have a crazy collaboration that just got locked in, like, two days ago,” playfully rolling her Rs for emphasis.
Interestingly, the rapper had already hinted at the album’s title back in November 2023. She posted a photo on Instagram, showcasing her new lower back tattoo, and in the caption, she added, “Y2K! ?/?/24.”
This upcoming debut album, Y2K, marks a significant milestone in Ice Spice’s career. While she skyrocketed to rap superstardom after going viral with the hit track Munch (Feelin’ U) in 2022 and released projects like her 2023 EP Like..? featuring chart-toppers like Gangsta Boo and In Ha Mood, she has yet to drop a full-length album.
