Demi Lovato Shares Beauty Secrets With Fans, Opens Up On Anti-Wrinkle Injectables
Demi Lovato has always been open about her life journey. From rising to fame as a child star on Barney & Friends to conquering the music industry with eight albums, the 31-year-old has never shied away from discussing her mental health battles and addiction struggles. Now, Lovato is adding a new chapter to her story by delving into her beauty routine.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Demi revealed her latest partnership as the spokesperson for Xeomin, an anti-wrinkle injection. “I’ve always believed in making choices that empower you, stay true to yourself, and make you look and feel your best,” says the Give You Heart A Break star.
“I’ve incorporated Xeomin into my routine every three months, and it gives me the results I want while still looking like myself. There are times I like to get glam and times when I don’t like to wear makeup at all, and this gives me the confidence for both,” she added.
But for Demi, this partnership goes beyond skin-deep beauty. She emphasized the importance of transparency and breaking down taboos surrounding cosmetic enhancements.
“I’m always transparent with my fans, and this is something I wanted to share. It normalizes it and takes the taboo away from injectable. It’s all about what makes you feel like your best self. Don’t listen to naysayers. Do what makes you feel comfortable in your own skin,” she shared.
Preparing for her upcoming wedding to Canadian musician Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, Demi shares insights into her skincare regimen, which includes Renée Rouleau products alongside Xeomin injections every three months. As for her wedding look, the songstress hopes for longer hair with the same color she currently sports.
Despite her glamorous public persona, the Heatattack singer’s off-duty style is refreshingly laid-back. “I love a good sweatsuit and minimal makeup,” she admits. According to her, a simple routine of tinted moisturizer, blush, concealer, and brow gel is all she needs to feel confident.
Amidst the glitz and glamor, Demi remains steadfast in her skincare principles.
“I never sleep in my makeup. It doesn’t matter how late the night goes, it doesn’t matter if I’m up until the morning, I take my makeup off and I do my skincare routine and I’m very diligent about it,” she revealed.
