Jax Taylor And Brittany Cartwright’s Marriage Woes Discussed On “Vanderpump Rules”
In a recent episode of Vanderpump Rules, Scheana Shay and Katie Maloney stirred up quite the chatter as they delved into the rocky relationship of Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright. The duo, both aged in their late thirties, aired their thoughts on Jax’s fidelity and the whispers circulating about his escapades in West Hollywood.
During their discussion, Scheana pondered over the dynamics of relationships, questioning why Tom Sandoval stuck around in a seemingly unhappy relationship with Ariana Madix for nine years. She emphasized the unpredictability of love, citing Jax and Brittany’s journey as an example of the twists and turns that can occur within a marriage.
“You can’t judge. Look at Jax and Brittany, they were married and had a baby. I could not believe that when they did,” Scheana stated.
Katie chimed in with her own insights, hinting at the rumors surrounding Jax’s behavior outside of his marriage. Lala Kent, another cast member, corroborated Scheana’s claims, suggesting that Jax’s actions might be even more scandalous than what’s been heard.
Adding fuel to the fire, Brittany herself addressed the situation on their joint podcast, When Reality Hits. She disclosed their decision to separate after four years of marriage, citing personal struggles and the need for space to prioritize her mental well-being.
“Many of you guys have been asking me about Jax and I and our relationship. I just think it’s important to be real and honest with you guys because our life is definitely — we’ve shared so much of our life with you guys. So, I feel like … I don’t want to seem like I’m lying or anything like that so I think it’s important for me to say this,” she stated.
“I know on my last podcast, I alluded to many marriages go through rocky times. Yes, marriages in general are very hard and I’ve had a particularly rough year this past year. Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health,” she added.
Their relationship, which began in a Las Vegas bar in 2015, saw its fair share of ups and downs. Despite a brief split in 2017, they reconciled and eventually tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in June 2019. Their journey took another turn with the arrival of their son, Cruz Michael Cauchi, in April 2021.
Reflecting on their journey last March, Jax and Brittany expressed resilience in the face of adversity, dismissing notions of divorce despite external skepticism.
“We’re trucking through,” Brittany affirmed, echoing Jax’s sentiment that marriage requires effort and perseverance.
Despite their professed commitment, the news of their separation has sent shockwaves through their fanbase, leaving many to wonder about the future of their relationship and the impact it might have on their upcoming Bravo spinoff, The Valley.
