Eminem To Reveal New Album This Year, Dr. Dre Says

Eminem is back in the studio cooking up some fresh beats! During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the legendary Dr. Dre spilled the beans about Slim Shady’s highly anticipated 12th studio album, slated for release later this year.
In an exclusive revelation, Dre, the iconic rapper/producer, confirmed that Eminem’s new album is underway and promised that it’s going to be fire.
“Let me tell you something, let me explain something to you right now — Eminem is working on his own album which is coming out this year. And I actually talked to him, and he said it’s OK for me to make that announcement right here on this show,” the 59-year-old announced.
Despite his close collaboration with Eminem on the project, Dre admitted that even he hasn’t heard all the tracks yet.
“So, he has an album coming out — I’ve got songs on it, and it’s fire. I’m actually gonna hear the entire album for the first time for tomorrow,” he shared.
“[Eminem] holds his music close to his chest, so I haven’t even heard everything. I haven’t even heard everything complete that I’ve done, but I’m gonna hear it, and he’s putting out an album this year,” he added, assuring fans that Eminem is bringing his A-game with this release.
The news of Eminem’s upcoming album comes after his successful 2020 project, Music to Be Murdered By, which featured hits like Godzilla with Juice Wrld. Now, fans can’t wait to see what Slim Shady has in store for them next.
Earlier on the same day, Dre was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with stars like Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, and Eminem himself showing up to support him. Reflecting on the overwhelming turnout, Dre expressed his gratitude on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, saying, “I didn’t expect for there to be that many people out there to represent, but that was great.”
In a recent interview on SiriusXM, Dre praised Eminem’s unparalleled talent, declaring him the best MC ever. Despite some doubters due to his race, Dre stood firm in his belief that Eminem’s skills on the microphone are unmatched.
In his words, “His imagination is off the charts, and I don’t think anyone would disagree with that. I think he’s the best MC ever. Point blank, period. Of course, there are going to be arguments about that because he’s a white guy. I don’t think anyone that’s rapping can touch Eminem on that microphone.”
