Chase Stokes, known for his role in Outer Banks, recently shared his heartfelt admiration for girlfriend Kelsea Ballerini, emphasizing one particular trait that he finds truly remarkable.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in 10, the 31-year-old actor expressed his profound love for the 30-year-old country music star, describing her as “the most genuine human being you will meet.”
Chase praised Kelsea’s unwavering presence and her genuine nature, highlighting her admirable trait of making time for everyone.
In his words, “She is just the most genuine human being you will meet. She has time for everybody, which is such an admirable trait.”
“She’s incredibly present. When you are with that human, you know you are getting her,” he added.
Emphasizing the rarity of such qualities in today’s fast-paced society, Chase noted the significance of being with someone who prioritizes being present and attentive.
“I just don’t think — especially with the way today’s society works and how quick everything moves — that presence is something that is looked at in the ways that it once was. To sit down and know you’re with somebody who wants to be with you and to love on you, it’s something that you don’t realize is as special as it is until you don’t have it,” he added.
Despite his admiration for Kelsea’s talents, Chase admitted his own reservations about stepping into her shoes as a country hitmaker, citing his struggles with social anxiety. However, he expressed confidence in the Unapologetically singer’s comedic prowess, envisioning her potential success as an actor.
“The fact that she can go out in front of thousands of people and pour her heart out night after night after night, I would never in a million years want to switch roles with her…She’s so damn good at what she does and it’s super fun to watch,” Chase stated.
The couple’s relationship has garnered widespread attention since they began dating in late 2023, with their affectionate gestures and supportive presence at each other’s events captivating fans’ hearts.
Kelsea, in a recent Flaunt cover story, acknowledged Chase as a vital support system in her life, highlighting the comfort and security she feels with him by her side.
“When it comes to my relationship there’s a beautiful level of him showing up on tour, or at my respective award shows, and me getting to go to set and showing up to his events, where we just get to [be] each other’s support system in person. That to me feels really safe,” she shared.
