Camila Cabello Celebrates Miami Vibes in Upcoming Album ‘C, XOXO’
Excitement is building as Camila Cabello prepares to drop her fourth studio album, C, XOXO, set for release on June 28. The Havana singer has already tantalized fans with a sneak peek into the album’s vibrant, summery vibe, reflecting her love for her Miami roots.
In a captivating trailer narrated by Camila herself, released on May 9, she shared her personal connection with the city. “She likes to drive with the windows down so she can hear what the city’s saying at night. “She likes its broken English; its all-over-the-place music taste,” she began, setting the tone for an album infused with the essence of Miami nights.
Camila’s narration continues with vivid imagery of the city’s eclectic mix of cultures, neon lights, and the ever-present sun, a consistent lover that kisses the skin and hair of its inhabitants.
“She likes seeing the neon colors of the Caribbean in the backdrop of Teslas and skyscrapers in the first world, Caribbean, Tokyo,” she wrote, adding, “They always said the city would be underwater by now — then again, that’s what they said about her. I guess they both learned how to swim.”
This album follows Camila’s previous works: 2018’s Camila, 2019’s Romance, and 2022’s Familia. Each album marked a phase in the Fifth Harmony alum’s evolving sound and artistic expression, and C, XOXO promises to take this evolution further. The first single, I Luv It featuring Playboi Carti, dropped on March 27 and showcased a new sound for Camila, which she debuted at Coachella during Lana Del Rey’s headlining set.
Adding to the excitement, the Never Be The Same singer announced the release of her next single from the album, He Knows, a collaboration with Lil Nas X, set to hit fans on May 10. She teased fans with potential lyrics on social media, hinting at a track that’s as bold and provocative as the Miami summer.
