Jason Oppenheim Open To Christine Quinn’s Return to “Selling Sunset”

As the show has been renewed for an eighth season, Jason Oppenheim is open to the idea of Christine Quinn rejoining the hit Netflix real estate docusoap, Selling Sunset. The 47-year-old president of The Oppenheim Group shared with TMZ on June 13 that he’d be “on board” with Christine’s return, provided everyone else agrees.
“I have nothing against her coming back. I think everyone deserves a second chance,” Jason stated.
“I think I would be on board, but that would be a group decision,” he continued.
The actor went on to emphasize that the final decision involves many stakeholders, including Netflix and the current cast members, but he supports the idea if the rest do.
Christine, who left Selling Sunset in 2022 after five seasons, embarked on a new business venture with her now-estranged husband Christian Dumontet. She launched RealOpen, a crypto real estate company.
“I terminated my contract when the brokerage launched,” Christine explained to PEOPLE, adding, “I had to make a business decision that was for me, so I had to terminate the contract so I could move it over to my brokerage.”
Christine shared that Jason was aware of her plans. “Jason knew. I told him. Him and I had had conversations a year prior. I told him I was doing my own thing. I don’t think anyone actually thought…I think they thought I was bluffing; I don’t think they actually thought I was working on a company, I don’t know. But I told them for a year that I was working on this. Everyone knows,” she said.
“Jason and I, we have a really good understanding. I told him, ‘This comes from a career move. I have to do my own thing.’ So that’s why I made the company,” she added.
Christine’s departure came amid personal tensions with co-star Mary Bonnet. In 2022, Mary opened up about their fallout, saying, “I’m professional and will do whatever it takes to communicate and interact with anybody if it’s a work-related thing, but for Christine and I, personally, I feel like I’ve given chance after chance.”
“Honestly, I just don’t think about her. She’s not involved in any of our lives and we don’t hang out together,” she added.
Despite their past differences, Christine was recently seen with Jason, Mary, and Selling Sunset star Nicole Young at an event in Los Angeles earlier in June. The group appeared to have reconciled, smiling and posing together.
