Mark Wahlberg Shares Excitement About Onscreen Romance With Halle Berry In New Netflix Film

Mark Wahlberg is thrilled about his latest project, The Union,” where he shares the screen with the stunning Halle Berry. In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Mark, 53, opened up about his onscreen chemistry with Halle, 57, and what fans can expect from their characters’ love story.

For Mark, playing such a role with Halle is a fantasy every guy shares.

“…Halle, her and I have known each other for such a long time and this movie is going to be so great because it’s every guy’s fantasy, to think that they got a shot with Halle Berry,” Mark shared. He went on to describe the unique bond their characters share, highlighting the deep connection that forms the heart of the film.

The Union, set to premiere on Netflix on August 16, follows the journey of a construction worker from New Jersey who is recruited by his high school sweetheart for a high-stakes US intelligence mission. “They were childhood sweethearts, and they come back together. He basically waited 25 years for her to come back, walk back through that door and into his life, and it happens. There isn’t anything he wouldn’t do to prove himself to her if he got a second chance,” Mark explained.

Mark, who has been married to Rhea Durham since 2009, admitted that portraying a romantic relationship onscreen can be a bit strange. “I think it’s a little weird anyway when you’re portraying some sort of romance onscreen, it’s not normal, but my wife knows that she is my everything. She is the most special woman in the world,” he said.

Recently, Rhea celebrated her 46th birthday with Mark and their four children – 20-year-old Ella, 18-year-old Michael, 15-year-old Brendan, and 13-year-old Grace. She shared sweet photos from the celebration on Instagram, thanking God for another birthday. Mark also posted a touching photo of the family, captioning it, “HAPPY B DAY BABE🥰😘🥳🙏❤️🙏.”
