Chris Hemsworth Celebrates Wife Elsa Pataky’s 48th Birthday With Heartfelt Tribute
Chris Hemsworth is showing his love and appreciation for his wife, Elsa Pataky, on her 48th birthday. On Thursday, July 18, the 40-year-old MCU star shared a series of endearing and humorous photos on Instagram to mark the special day.

The first photo featured the couple on the set of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, where Elsa played two characters, Mr. Norton and Vuvalini General. In the picture, Chris, dressed in his warlord Dementus costume, embraces Elsa with a beaming smile in the rugged Australian outback.
In another photo, the family is seen enjoying a cozy dinner with their three children – 12-year-old daughter India Rose and 10-year-old twin boys Sasha and Tristan, 10. The warmth and love in the family are evident as they share this special moment together.
Chris also included a sweet photo of Elsa smiling brightly while surrounded by rocks and shells, capturing her natural beauty and serenity.
The final photo took fans back to the set of Thor: Love and Thunder, where Elsa played Wolf Woman alongside Chris’s iconic God of Thunder character. Elsa had previously appeared in Thor: Ragnarok as Sakaaran Nurse, showcasing their delightful on-screen chemistry.
Chris, whose love story with Elsa began in 2010 when they first met and quickly tied the knot, has always cherished working with Elsa, describing it as “just like date night.” In an interview with PEOPLE in early May, he said, “I love it. I love spending time with her…especially in a creative space.”
At his Hollywood Walk of Fame Star Ceremony in late May, Chris expressed deep gratitude to Elsa for her unwavering support throughout his career. “I want to say thank you to my beautiful wife, who has been here for my entire career basically by my side, endlessly encouraging and supportive,” he stated, adding, “And it doesn’t get lost on me that she put aside her own dreams in order to support mine and, again, [I am] forever in your debt.”
“The fact [is] that nothing that I do, any of these moments, these special occasions and events, none of it is special without you by my side. I love you,” he added, highlighting the irreplaceable role Elsa plays in his life.
